Congrats man! My buddy had a black one at one point, then a lime green with black stripes. Scared the daylights outta me when I tried it-in the rain. He ended up selling for a Z06.. :tomato: I might be in the minority but I prefer these things stripeless! Post more pics and a review, I'm curious how it compares to the Chevy over time. And ya, +1 be safe!

Goddam that is sick!
What made you want to get the Viper and sell the Vette? Just see it spontaneously or were you looking for a long time?

Very nice!! Please tell us how it compares with the Z06 when you have the time. Congrats again.
At first I thought my Z was a pretty raw car, but after driving this for an entire day, I can easily consider her a luxury sports car. Viper has like no options what so ever. other than power windows and power pedal positioning. seats are manual and the stereo of pretty decent. Extremely Raw car. On the other hand, Z had several options including full power seats with lumbar, heating and memory. even heated mirrors. pretty much every power option you can get on a decent luxury car. Viper is no way in hell a good daily, but you can get use to her very fast. The first two hours in this car were very painful. My neck was already aching and so was my back (I have back problems). Pedals are extremely close to each others so my shoes kept getting stuck and id push two pedals at the same time. After the first two hours, i got comfortable in the seat and pedals became very easy. There isnt much room for anything in the car. the passenger side is extremely compact and uncomfortable. I havent gotten a chance to take it around some turns and curves so not sure how good i feel about the handling Vette on the other hand was a perfect daily (absolutely perfect) it was very comfortable and again, with all the luxury. you can jump in that car and drive a 1000 miles no problem. it was still very quick and handles great. Their active handling control system is just amazing and perfect for spirited driving. lots of other options in the car. Super roomy compared to the Viper. Over all, I dont have the best pick out of both. Both are awesome cars in their own ways. But if I had to pick one that will be perfect for every single thing, it would be the Z. Pretty much over any other car out there. |
Whoa... :what:
Congrats!! What a pick up! |
Wow. Congrats. Looks very nice.

Will the Viper be your daily driver? Any remorse for giving up the Vette? Any plans to go back to one - Vette?
No remorse on selling the vette, although I will always miss her. Definitely planing on getting another one in future and going all out on it, as in a twin turbo 1000+HP street car. |
What's great about this car
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...422_141512.jpg Even at 100mph the rpm are still under 2k! |
Wow that's awesome.
|
Keeping it until the end of the year? So what's next after this?
And Congrats! You should post up some vids of it. |
TT by 2k13 or ban!
JK, looks great |
Congrats! That thing is a beast!!
|
Wow congrats, this is one of my dream cars.
That thing revs less on the highway than my TL. |
I think my car does half that speed at 1500 rpm in top gear. :what:
|
congrats
car looks great i may be in the minority, but i preferred the Vette |
if you dont mind, how much did the z leave for?
I must say, I have all your z threads linked and have had most of your pictures at one point as a desktop. Your z06 is precisely what I want as in my dream car. No lambos or italian horses. Just an 07-08 z with the zr1 lip kit and intake/exhaust. I'm curious what it would have taken to get the car off your hands. Nice pick up by the way, I'm just sad I don't get to see updates to the z anymore. |

^^^love...
|
Yeah... i have to admit...I'm kinda partial to the Z06 Vette.
|
Viper for me all the way. I much prefer the 1st gen RT/10s and GTSs, but they are all in a different league than a run-of-the-mill Corvette.

Nice pickup. I was actually at the Food Lion Auto Fair at the speedway this weekend drooling over the Vette's. Viper is just a bit too raw for me. Kind of like the power options and touring ability of the Vette. Still not sure if I'm going to do a Z06 or just a C6 and supercharge it. We'll see when the time comes. Either way, great pickup and enjoy it!! Make sure to keep us updated on any mods :D |
^^^ from Salisbury NC. Had to take a cab to the guys house. Fuck Charlotte 's traffic.
150 bucks for 47 miles. While getting inspection done ... thought it look cool in the mirror. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...423_112221.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...423_124053.jpg |
^ Man, you should have totally hit me up. Oh well, too late now.

I loved the vette but there are several other cars that i want to own. so had to make the hard decision to sell the Vette. Pretty much over any other car out there. Be careful on those turns with that right foot! No more C6 Active Handling to save your a**. Best of luck with her and hope she is doesnt put a hole in your pocket like the Vette  Shoot me a text when your around...i wanna see the new beast :toocool: |
