there is no real budget set in mind. Just what ever i can find a great deal on. I'll have a lot going on this fall, so most likely im not gonna make move on a car unless its a steal.

I have a few cars in mind, and of course, im not gonna mention any of them. When ever I get ready to buy a car i'll post it here first!

GT-R is meh seeing as he had a Viper. According to him his new ride would be much more badass.

 

How is GT-R meh compared to Viper?.. you mean looks, then yes.

I'm sure N has 1 or 2 cars in mind, I bet he's keeping his options open when it comes time to deal, plus he must be having a lot of fun in the Raptor.

 

He said it would be much more badass than a Viper, again in his words. But I think he just means something more exotic.

I also don't consider performance as the quintessential ingredient for badassery in a car. To give a car an anthropomorphic descriptor... if a badass car were turned human, it would probably be the type to kick dirt in your face and curb stomp you for looking at it the wrong way.

The Raptor is a nice example of badass

Now may be if I get a steal on one I'll buy it, keep it for a few months and then get something else.

And as far as sensoring the keys, its was for some members here.
They might get a little worked up. haha. na, you can see they exact cut and it will be easy to copy it. Even if you cant start it, you can still get in the car.

Even a "steal" on a Gallardo is twice what the '06 Viper is and isn't really a step up in performance (drag race), so I doubt that's next.

Realistically, if there is a new toy in mind, I'm thinking it's a 2'nd gen CTS-V or a '10/'11 GT500. Both are newer cars, already SC'd and aching for "moar hp", adding said power is "safer"/easier, and they're both a step up price wise.

Who knows, maybe a complete shift and there's a Lotus in store? (doesn't seem like a track guy though)

Tilting more luxury than performance? A used Maser GT or a Bentley GT can be had for near what a V/500 can. (OP doesn't come across as pompous poser type either)

Ultimately, your guess is as good as mine. (my apologies for the ramble, had a few Jameson's on the rocks to set my mind at ease)
