Just picked up a BMW e30! (pics)
I was doing my regular stroll through CL today and stumbled across a 1993 BMW 325i convertible (e30 body style) and decided to go look at it. It was a deal I just couldn't pass up and I ended up picking it up.
It's a 93 with 169K miles on it, runs like a champ. The owner gave me a stack of service records and it has a ONE year old top on it & brand new tires. It's got a few rust spots and something is up with the power steering but other than that, the car drives/runs/looks great! I have been wanting another e30 for a while now and now I got one. I will throw it on the lift on Saturday and decide if I should keep it or not...might make some $$ and sell it
What do you guys think?
(Sorry for the pics, I just picked it up and got it home)

Cool, keep it. What condition is the paint in? Does this mean your attitude will suck now?

Wow - what an interesting thread. I don't think it has anything to do with them owning BMW's... My TL is actually faster than the e30 so I think I'll be okay

hey this car looks pretty clean for a '93...stock, all original(besides that fur thingy)...don't see to many of that body style running any more...owner must've taken really good care of it...it's manual so that's a plus...i say keep it as a commuter and because gas price is ridicuous

Almost 4 years later, picking up a 1991 318iC in 2 hours. Blue with a tan interior with a black top. Fair condition, drives well. I think I'm actually going to keep this one. I had the red one for about a month and loved it, always regretted selling it but needed $ at the time.
This one is going to need some work. Needs new bumpers, a few rust spots, a couple hail spots in the hood but overall is okay. It'll slowly get better but I plan on enjoying it over the summer with the top down

Wow!!! thats super clean! very nice! I absolutely love the E30's.
Seems these days, theres been a resurgence of E30's on the road! This past week, seen the 5 of the m3's...I also know a gas station clerk...who has an E30, which he uses as track. He parks it outside the station, and the rollcage is visible from the inside LOL!
Super sweet, vintage BMW at its finest!
