Given the nature of the ressurrection post(er), there is now a blip on my troll radar.

by the way, whats a good forum (one with adults not young punks) for Si's and anyone else have any helpful information? Thanks
08 FA5/nav/summer tires here. Got my baby brand spankin new... I love it every time I drive.

I usually check out www.8thcivic.com if I ever have any questions about my car, but I dont post there often.

Do you plan to start modding your car? Or just leave it be? I've got myself the HFP suspension that I've been wanting to put on for the longest time now but I havent yet. Still planning on it though eventually.

One thing that I've done to my Si that made it a lot better to drive was shifter bushings, not expensive but it made a big difference with how shifting the car feels. I was hugely let down coming from a TSX then to a S2000 then to the Si, the shifter was very loose and indirect feeling. While still not great at least it doesn't annoy me when I drive now, for $40-50 it was money well spent - easy to install too! Otherwise I haven't done a thing to my Si and I don't plan to either.

I love the fact that Honda made a SI sedan.

I love the sedan. It looks much better than the coupe, imo.

I believe in his case it was an issue of price.

This is interesting. As is, I thought the SI shifter was amazing. Granted, I haven't gone from an S2k to an SI like yourself, but I have driven a few different manual cars and have thought this shifter to be on par with the stook.

Ill research the bushings for sure. It may even inspire me to finally get a few friends together one afternoon and finally install my suspension. lol

Here's what I ended up using, I got the base bushings too http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...oducts_id=1110

Doesn't make it feel as good as the S2000, but it's much cleaner, well worth the money.

I'll confirm iTimmy's post that shifter bushing are of help, not the final solution, but they do help. When I had my TSX I installed shifter bushing and it did firm up the feeling. For the investment of 30$ish dollars its defiantly worth it.

haha i know i know... but it was practicality and price. i was lead to believe si's lease horribly. I leased my altima, and got leather, heated seats, bluetooth, bose, etc. for a few bucks more a month than i would have gotten the si for. I also wanted the si coupe not sedan, and i do quite a few trips from nc to nj throughout the year, so i thought comfort would be an issue as well.

now i kind of feel like i still would have been happy in the civic, because the altima puts me to sleep driving it (i unfortunately got the 2.5 SL). the manual transmission was impossible to find, the cvt is a snoozer, and even driving my girlfriends accord sedan 4 cyl is more exciting than driving the altima, however i am quite impressed with the interior.

on the downside (jealous haha) my father has the exact same car as me except in the 3.5 so when i come home i always take it for a spin ... makes me wish i had it, or even my tl type s back, but hell its better than my tl's transmission blowing 100 miles into a 450 mile trip.

anyway sorry for the thread hi jack, the point i was making was that i love the si, and still wish i would have gotten one.

Has anyone installed a short shifter in their SI? I'll pick up the bushings per everyone's recommendation.

Are there any available right now? due to how the Si's shifter is implemented I don't know if there is much that can be done for an affordable price.
