hi guys. i was referred here by a friend b/c he said you guys know everything so heres the deal. i just bought a new comptech cat-back exhaust for my 05 tsx. it sounds awesome and ive noticed a nice change in performance. however, i notice that when im stopped at red lights or stop signs, sometimes i can hear a rattle underneath my car. i took it back to the place that installed it and they said one of the clamps was loose that held 2 of the pipes together. the mechanic said the pipes are like if you took 2 cups and placed the drinking sides together and the only thing that held them together was a clamp. he told me to avoid hitting bumps and stuff on the road. well ive been doing that but the noise is coming back. my friend said maybe it could be the exhaust is hitting my heat shield on my car? idk whats going on thats why im hoping you guys can help me out. if it is discovered that it is indeed the clamp thats rattling, would it be a good idea to maybe get the pipes welded together so there would not be a need for a clamp anymore? just throwing that out there i have no clue. thanks.

As far as fixing the problem, I wouldn't suggest welding like you mentioned, but I'm no expert. I'd ask one of the vet's in the TSX forum such as JTso or CCC. They should be able to give you some advice.
