You better!

Can't go wrong with either listed. I'd do M1EP / Redline / Amsoil if you do extended OCIs. If you intend on taking it to the dealer for oil changes, some guys get the M1 only oil cap which is found on the vette, just to make sure they do fill with M1. You'll read some nonsense about only Dexos1 spec / rated oils, which doesn't cover several excellent synthetics. This spec is $$, has nothing to do with meeting engine lubrication requirements.

Just took the V to San Antone about ~200 miles roundtrip. Still have 1/3 tank of gas. Cruising about 80 mph most of the way. notbad.jpg
There was some limited spirited driving along the way, defensive in nature to get away from distracted drivers. I put them safely in the horizon.

btw... did you pay tax?
#255
Not yet. Tax is paid here in NC when it is registered.
Shipping was a bit high as uShip had some as low as $1300. But for the extra $200 it was worth it to have the dealership do it so they are on the hook for it getting to me versus me being responsible for hiring a shipper...

I missed this because I worked all weekend.
RSM is a great color. Soooo easy to maintain compared to my gorgeous OBM. You won't be sorry you chose it.
Congrats!

^ Thanks Bob! From looking around it was a good deal and if I want a different color I can just wrap it! The options pretty much are what they are (hard to add a pano roof or Recaro seats), but the color is changed pretty easily if I change my mind.
But I have plans and I think it will look awesome on the silver

Some super quick shots from about an hour ago. Thing is filthy but I have a bunch of training calls to facilitate today so had to run home and leave it as is. Maybe if it doesn't rain this evening I can give it a quick wash. Just driving it from the lot (had to meet at a nearby shopping center since the roads in my neighborhood are tight) already made me fall in love with it. Can't wait to really get some time to check it out!

Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty clean. Inside is in great shape as well. I actually had an AZ member go check it out before I bought it to verify but seeing it in person really got me all excited to finally have it. Cool thing is the dealer left the plates on it which are still valid, so I can use those until I get it registered here in NC (should be able to go to the DMV tomorrow). Of course I have a full day at work today so honestly, I'm not going anywhere with it anyway

I know how you feel. First week I had the V it was wet + slurry. It mostly sat in the garage for a week.

Yeah, it's not a far drive from where I met the truck but I got on it only a little bit once and it through me back into the seat. Looking forward to more of that
No worries... a member was able to look at it (and gave him permission to drive it as well) and it all worked out

First ticket in....3....2....1.... I still remember accidentally getting up to 105 my first day in my old V sedan....lucky there were no cops around. It really was an accident, too!
With an automatic, you'll do great at the drag strip. All the fastest Vs on the strip are automatic.....

Very nice JB. Hope she treats you well. What are your plans (other than a "I might get bored wrap)?
Oh, and do you have any track days planned?

JB hasn't had it for a day and you guys are already suggesting he take it to the strip and track..
I'm sure he just wants to leisurely take it to the coast.

funny...I haven't been on in a couple years and the first thing I see is a CTS-V thread and how a couple of you guys have them. Enjoy them, they are fantastic cars. congrats Junior! I actually work at Cadillac right now so I am a little biased but they have been making some really good cars lately. Can't wait to get my hands on an ATS-V or the new CTS-V.
