It does have the 8AT, which is pretty awesome, especially in sport mode using the paddle shifters. In handling, the M3 will kill it every time! It is so damn good to drive on curvy roads.

Your M3 is so clean. I can't believe it has all those miles on it.

The Jeep is lifted and while it can be used on the highway no problem, longer trips can be interesting. It also only has 2 seats (we removed the rear) so we just use that around town and the FJ is lifted and loud (tires, exhaust, general FJ design) so while I don't mind it, it can be a long trip when using that.

Originally the Porsche was the road tripper, then sold that for the Vagon, which I then sold for the business stuff and used the remainder towards the AMG... so trying to convince the wife to get that road tripper vehicle again
Dang just cause it is the wifes daily it can't be the road trip car? I would think the AMG would be an amazing road trip car.

you misread what JB was throwing down...
basically, his "need" for a road trip car is total and udder bullspit...that's the line he gave his wife to justify it.
You fell for it so hopefully she will too!

I really love this M3.

yeah right...when I was married I would just tell her exactly how things were gonna be and what i was gonna buy.
then she'd tell me whether or not i was right and give me a projected timeframe on when I might get to touch the hiney again.

I basically have the green light to get a hellcat once the M3 sells. Getting approval for stuff like that is sort of like winning the lottery for me Sell M3!!!

Oh she wants an expensive piece of jewelry, so don't think the negotiations are one-sided. We've been together 20 years... so this isn't our first rodeo.

J - buy my motorcycle and make it even easier. That way she can't complain there's too much stuff in the garage

Got a tentative "yes" to do Euro delivery on my next car when this lease is up. That's what it's all about right there

The M3 will come with a nice ring! It's even carbon fiber on the other side.

If my driveway wasn't so shit .. I would consider an E46 M3 in a heart beat. I couldn't imagine tri-poding it daily ... no amount of reinforcement on the subframe would survive it

I'm doing all I can to make it in the best condition I can for whoever the future owner will be. It even has the engine break-in decals still on the windshield.

Trust me, as someone that is pretty OCD about condition and the car's story and who it goes to...

If I didn't already own 3 cars, or at least had the funds from the sale of 1 or 2 of them, I'd be all over this...at least fly up, test drive and be sure I want it. I almost bought a Laguna a year ago...saw it 3 times...turns out it was majorly fuxored and the guy was trying to keep me from really driving it and feeling how bad it was until the last day when we were headed to the bank for the cash. I literally shook his hand, apologized for wasting his time and walked back to where my car was parked.

I also think you will look back and regret this move. You're tempted by new car, approval to purchase it, the big HP numbers...in the end, the no car payment rolling piece of automotive art and history you pouredyour heart and soul into in a manual will be something you are not able to replicate. Don't ask me how I know...and that's coming from a guy that went big HP pretty unique vehicle too.

I hear ya and my wife kind of feels the same, but I've thought about it for a long time now. I've put so much work into it and trying to keep it perfect that other than my recent drive to the mountains to get it out of Irma's path, I don't really drive it anymore except a few miles once a month to keep it going. I'd rather someone else enjoy it, free up some garage space, and get something I can beat the hell out of with a warranty
