Imagine what he would've posted if he hadn't spun the tires for the first 5 seconds of the run. Very fast car (not to mention sweet looking).

^ Wouldn't doing the burnout at the starting line make the tires stickier for more grip? Therefore, it he hadn't done the burnout, he would've been slower?

In theory, yes. That is what the initial tire spin is for before rolling up to the line. Maintaining traction throughout the entire run would definitely yield better times than warming up the tires by spinning them off the line.
