Jackson Racing S/C RSX-S
Hondata ECU + Header + S/C= 255WHP
13.8 1/4 mile with a 2.8 short time. They spun wheels through first three gears. With a nice set of tires you can hit 12's. NICE! SRT4 who?

at the E-town meet in March, Peter from ClubRSX was pulling 13.9's against me with a 30mph headwind...he had Hondata, headers, reworked bottom-end, pullys, and intake at the time...now he's got an ITR tranny and a prototype IceBox SUPPOSEDLY giving 20hp to the wheels...im thinkin somewhere around 13.2 area

Scooter, .7 off from an icebox and tranny?

Nope.
The thread isn't about stock RSX-S v. SRT4. I was asserting that with the JR S/C RSXs won't have to run and hide.

why even race with a 30 mph headwind?? that just totally defeats the purpose of trying to get a new personal best time, not to mention, the formula of (30 mph headwind = .2-.3 seconds off the time) is far less than scientific
id rather just go to the track on a GOOD day with OPTIMAL conditions....why waste the time, its all skeptisism and BS until PROVEN otherwise.

Dude what are you talkin about? Some people race for the pure enjoyment. Not everything is about the end result.

thats cool that there is a supercharger kit but i thought the S's were already running low 14's na with the hondadata headers intake etc., with a supercharger that time sounds weak, what was the trap speed?

well perhaps this helps put things into perspective...back in Nov, when i set up the Acura Wars meet, the wind was so bad that they only had the 1/8 mile open, so that sucked
the March Honda/Acura meet was hyped up bigtime b/c of the fact that it was 1/4 AND autox combined, and b/c the schedule at E-town is so booked on weekends, rescheduling would b near impossible, so they basically said screw it, we're racing anyway...and part of the competition was combining times together, so it wasn't so much a race for personal best as it was a race against everyone else

Zapata,
I understood your post the way you wrote it and I agree. The RSX is a very well built car, and now w/ even more power it will be a car that surely will get second looks at the track. Now, pop on the right tires and less resistence and that car will FLY.

Why would Jackson racing even let that time out and not wait until they could get their best time? Doesn't seem smart...I know they want people to see there is hope from JR and all...but...

Yea. although keep in mind that the S/C is boosting at 4.8psi
Moreover, i'd like to see some dyno charts where the trq curve of the S/C RSX will eat the trq curve of the N/A RSX.

The K20A is a wonderful motor. Add an intake, header, TODA Spec A cams, Hondata ECU and pulleys... 220whp. Take the cat out and unbolt the exhaust.. 230whp. Port the manifold and get a bigger TB... 240whp.

Yes... the S/C is boosting 4.8psi... but in my opinion... a forced-induction/nitrous car should make more than an NA car... given all else is equal (like both have stock bottom-ends, for example).
