My dad has owned a ton of cool cars in his life. 409 4 speed Impala's, C2 Vette's, Speedsters, BMW CSL, and a Chevy small block swapped Mercedes sedan to name a few. I have a bunch of cool pictures out in front of my grandparents old house I need to dig up.

My dad's first new car was a late '60s Ford Fairlane 4-door with a 390. He had an early '70s Chevy Bel Air with a 327 and then a '74 Ford Maverick sedan with a 302. He viewed cars as appliances, but wanted more torque than I-6s of the time, which is why he had the V8 engine options.
He was happy with the 1991 Camry V6 that he had before he gave up driving.

Safety Car
1965 Plymouth Barracuda; black with gold interior. This is identical, but not his actual car. My brother totalled it when he was 17 (and walked away).

My dad had a 1950's Austin Healey 3000. He bought it from a guy for 300 dollars in the 60's, brought it home, and got it running that day. When his dad came home he took one look and told my dad to sell it as it wasn't an American car. He always talked about it being the one car he wished he kept.
He had something like 50 cars in his lifetime, but other than the 2 day Austin healey his favorite was the 98 740i I posted before.

Stapler, my dads literally gone through 8 7 series since the early 90's...made a mistake for a S500 in the early 2000's that didn't last. Just switched up again and bought a tesla.
My dads a certified car nut, probably owned close to 100 cars...his stable now is:
1948 Mercury Woodie
1958 Eldorado Biarritz
1948 MG TC
1965 Sunbeam Tiger
1972 Morris Minor
1966 Mustang
2014 Tesla S P85+
2007 997 S
and he just bought something else but won't tell me what it is...lol
They are all his favorites he says

The car my dad drove when I was a kid:
Then he got a 1984 MB 190E after that:
Followed by a 1996 Acura TL:
Although he always talked about the Plymouth his buddy had when he first came to the US in 1959. I imagine it was something like this:

My Dad really liked my '02 RL. He had a few Benzes in the 70's but went 'cheap' when us kids came along and switched to mostly Hondas, mainly Accords every two years.

My dad doesn't give two shits about cars. His favorite is probably the 2010 Accord he drives now. As long as it gets from point A to point B without breaking it becomes his new favorite car.

My dad is weird. Old Asian man who always wanted a big domestic sedan. To this day he still wants a big Cadillac or Lincoln. Doesn't even know their lineups
He's one of those point A to point B guys. But his favorite was the W126 380 SEL. Thing was a tank.

My dad's favorite ride had wings. He was airline pilot for 30 years and of all the aircraft he flew, the one below was his favorite. Indeed, the one actually in the picture, tail number N602RC, was the first 757 he flew for Republic when he switched over from the MD-80. I have a painting of this exact plane on the wall of my home office that was made for his retirement in 1988. I brought it home with me when he passed away in 2002.

Despite the love for BMW & Porsche, dad's dream ride was always the LS600hL.

My dad has always been in love with the 1970 Plymouth SuperBird. Ever since watching the cartoons (you will see the reference) and being a kid he has always wanted one! Finally about 10 years ago he bought a 1970 RoadRunner and has been collecting GENUINE Superbird parts over the years. He is now done with test fitting and smoothing things out and preparing for the frame off resto.
Before (one on the right):
Half Way:
Current:
He plans to do a full restoration on it. He has just enjoyed doing piece by piece as of lately. Job keeps him on is toes. I'll post more pics later on if anyone is interested.

Pops to this day still tells me how much he regrets getting rid of his favorite car. 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 383/335 4 speed. Still blames it on me, and he got rid of it in 1976! Would be nice if I could find any pics of it, but it was red with white interior with a white vinyl top.

Yeah, so I totally saw him at the June C&C a couple weekends ago. It's funny b/c the "paint scheme" caught our eye (I was with a few guys from the forum), but he was slowly driving through to leave and was honking his "beep-beep" Road Runner horn. The one thing that caught my eye (aside from the car since I love the Road Runner) immediately was the huge smile he had on his face. Here's a guy driving a mis-matched Road Runner and he looked like a kid in a candy store. Very cool...

My dad liked 80's GM sedans. He had mostly Bonnevilles and Impalas for work, and the family car was an '86 Pontiac 6000. Similar to this, except silver:
