Iphone/BB/Palm app for service reminders/service history

What do you guys think of an application that would send you reminders when you're due for service, remind you of appointments, keep your service history and have all of your car and service dept information within it?

Do you think that it would be a useful/popular application?

Yeah, it would sell.

However, I think I've heard of a similar iPhone application before, I think.

^hmm......I have never seen anything, I just think it would be cool to have an app for it seeing that almost everyone owns a car.

They're out there already. Maybe not exactly what you've described, but close.

I think it would be useful because I'm sure more people would pay attention if it's coming from there phones than the car.

Probably not a bad idea... but our cars already remind us when service is due, and I can just set a calender alarm for my appointment. Also, we have our advisers in our phones... so we just hit 2 buttons and it dials them.

Not sure I would pay for, download, then launch an app to do that when it's easy to do with my phone already... but there may be some who would like all of that info in one place.

I think the reminders and alerts coming from the phone would be the attraction. LOL!!! I tell my girl all the time to reset the the trip in our Sentra every time she fills yet every time I get in the car it's got like 2,000 miles on it. Or I'll ask her how many miles are on the car almost right after she gets out of it and she'll have no clue. Yet if you ask her anything random question regarding something you dont need to know about her cell phone she'll give you a detailed explanation.

See Gas Cubby in the apps. store.
Similar, good, no alerts but will track expenses and services for multi cars.

Yes there are already plenty of applications out there that reminds you of maintenance. But for me, my reminder is looking at the mileage on my car.

I do not have an app, but I always check my MPG's at every fill up.

Been doing it for years, need it for tax purposes. Not a bad habit imho.
Started with a log book, then handheld computer, now iphone.

What else would you like to see in these apps? What kind of features would you find useful?
