Insurance Claim
Dude Hits my car.
We settle thru insurance.
We get estimate, car gets worked on.
Cars finished.
I go to pick up Car and the shop wont
release the car because they haven't recieved payment from MetLife.
The insurance agent tells me the check was mailed out on the 9th.
I tell her what do you expect me to do, just wait?!?
And shes like "Unfortunately, theres nothing I can do".
What do you do in my position?

Otherwise, this is out of your control. Call your insurance adjuster back and ask to speak to the manager and complain. All you can do is wait or file a department of insurance complaint report if you really want to piss them off. This is coming from a former adjuster...

That's why I go with State Farm where they have "Service First" to ensure your car gets repaired as quickly as possible.
In your situation, I probably would have waited until I had the check in hand and then made the appointment to get it repaired - if your car was able to be driven from the scene.
