If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Jalopnik asked this interesting question this evening. See article right here.

What if you were told that you could only drive one car for the rest of your life? It had to be your fun car, your reliable car, your all weather car, your family car, your commuter car all wrapped into one. What would you pick to spend your automotive eternity with?
Personally...I'd stick with something Japanese. Their reliability has been demonstrated over the past few decades. 2011 TL SH-AWD. I have a love affair with this car. It's sporty and fun enough, has all-wheel drive, reliable, not too expensive to maintain, is practical, etc. That and it'll still look new in 10 years.

What car would you choose to drive for the rest of your life?

911 Carerra. Manual with RWD.

If it weren't for it being a DD, I would of went with something along the lines of a ZR1 or DB9 Volante.

Well, 42000 miles later, I am still looking forward keeping my car for a long time. Relative low cost is indeed a consideration. But it also proved to be a great car.

Well, that's a really tough choice. I am very satisfied with my TL, but I have yet to experience anything exotic. Maybe a CTS-V?

I dont think the one particular car has to last you your whole life. Its more like, when it dies you get a new one, but just the same one.

is the tl that great of a car that you would want to use it for the rest of your life? I mean this question has no money in mind. Maybe if you were thinking about that, then sure the 3g tl is a good choice. But I dont think this question involves money seeing how pretty much all the cars listed aren't cheap.

I'd stick with my M3.

All M3 generations seem to age really well and are still somewhat reliable. Great DD as well.

911 Turbo (997).

I've never driven anything so ferocious when you want it to be but can also be so agreeable in stop-start traffic and comfortable for the everyday grind. It's truly an awesome, timeless machine.

In that case I'll take a trabant or lada just to test the limits of the god or gods that put such a policy into place.
