I test drove a Mazda Protege5 last night

That's a fine little ride. It was a 5 speed and was flaming red. Cool little car. Front wheel drive and roomy with lots of zoom zoom. I could use one of those. My gf is looking for a new car to drive the wheels off. Her Avenger is dying a slow death bolt by bolt.

Mazda is also running these driving clinics you can sign up for on the internet. Anyone done that?

I agree. For an "economy" car, its pretty cool. I put economy in quotes, because all cars are too expensive these days. It comes in a wagon too, right? I think I mistook one for an IS300 once.

Oops, my bad. It only comes in a wagon model. I was thinking of the MazdaSpeed Protege.
