Honda Fit
I was with Dan when he test drove the Fit a few weeks ago. I must admit, the interior felt roomier than I thought it would (I'm not really one for small cars to begin with), and I can see how the interior can be quite versatile and roomy. However, the engine really lacked of power, even while flooring it. It definitely doesn't leave much room for error in judgement when merging into high speed traffic. I'd think this would be even more of an issue with the weight of more passengers, a car full of items, or a heavy dog. On a side note, something very inconsequential, but that caught my attention was how loud the turn signals were in the cabin upon activation. I was only the passenger, but Dan's thoughts were that it wasn't as fun of a drive as he thought it would be.

If the Fit didnt exist, i'd say a Subaru Outback, just make sure you dont get the 2.5 non turbo

Actually, every review I've read said that the torque management system does a great job in the Mazdaspeed 3. I'm going to try to find one for a test drive soon.

Yes but how well will the torque management system work when you crank up the boost? That's my fear. There's no way I could leave a turbo-4 with 265hp stock for very long.
And I'm on my 2nd CL-S already... first one had 300whp second one had 335whp. Took the boost off because it wasn't useful unless I was already above 30mph. Done with FWD...

Indeed. I like my 151,000 mile car that is rattle-free.
But that Mustang GT is sure tempting anyway
