Nicky, Have you done anything else to the car?
I'd suggest Subframe Connectors and a few other suspension peices as well. I am not putting rims on my stang until it gets suspension.

A pulley and tune = VOID Warranty....so in one year, I'll probably do a 2.3 Whipple or a KB 2.2. Speed inc. does a complete KB swap for under $4500.
What about these wheels...

These are what I am thinking about on my 05 GT. I think they would look good on the Coba and they are very light. I'd make my own custom centercap with pony and tri-bar though.

AND GET CHROME OUT OF YOUR HEAD!!!!!!
Who cares about warranty if you never drive it, esp. if you are planning on it in a year anyways, just take the pulley off if you have problems!

you need something w/ a lip on a big car like the new stang IMO, everything else just looks funny

yea, i'm in your boat, I simply just want something where I can fit a 295-305 and don't want to spend more then $1500-1800 w/ tires. Options are real slim

You also need to keep in mind the width of these wheels, we aren't talking 18x7.5" wheels here

i know that.... axis offers more than just 18x7.5
They have 8.5/9.5/10.5 for most of their applications. with offset as low as 15.
the reason u think axis only offer 18x7.5 is because majority of the ppl on this forum (CL) can only use 7.5 width.
PPl on G35/350z/E46 forums all use 9.5/10.5 with lip size up to 4.5"

I have an intake and exhaust...I'd bet that the car puts down 400HP to the wheels. You can't tune and pulley a car and keep the warranty...which I have about 1.5 years left of. 400HP will be enough until I can swap the blower.....If I'm upping the power...I'm gonna whole ass it...no half assing allowed.

yea, you didn't catch on to what I was saying, I'm well aware that they make wider then 7.5. What I was talking about was weight, an 18 x 10.5 wheel weighing 28 lbs isn't bad.

1. Find a mod friendly dealer. I know of a few around here
2. A tune and pulley is easily removed.

i got a good look at the chrome FR500s...the only part that is chrome is the flat surface/face of the wheel and lip.....the rest is silver. It looks awesome in person!

I like the wheels you picked out, but they look too much like they came with the car. I'd personally go with some torq thrust style wheels, or with some Boyd's or something. You cann probably do a 10.5 inch wheels out back with some 315's to hold the power you're making. Some black or gunmetal wheels with a polished lip would look amazingly menacing with your car.

IMHO, chrome doesn't look right on a Mustang. Neither do aftermarket wheels. If I were going to change the wheels, I'd go with the Saleen style and that would be the extent of it. There is a 'Stang around here (same body style but hard top) and it looks like he's running 19's or 20's and it's lowered. From any angle you look at the car, the wheels look like pizza cutters because they are so narrow so he could fit them inside the fender wells. It looks rediculous IMHO.
