I floored it for about two seconds.....my neck is still recovering..lol jk

The Mercedes lot is pretty big but not big enough, so then I thought about taking it on the street but I really didn't want something to happen and then have to come up with explanations...

Yeah because one of our accounts is at Mercedes, I have driven the C63, CL63, S63 and ML63 AMG. I know I have driven the E55, G55 and SL55 AMG but I don't remember driving an E63 yet and I know for sure I have not driven the SL63 yet....but I do drive a bunch of C300/350s and E350s though lol

I realize it's a lot of extra money, but I highly doubt the 6.2 (that's right!) engine is as amazing as the V12TT, that engine is ungodly and those cars are incredibly quick for their size.

V12s going away, too. 5.5 bi-turbo to replace.

Thank the Greenies for that!

Man, word on that...the V12 biturbo is a monster. There's a Russian guy on You Tube that does all sorts of damage to cars with his CL65...He's racing GTRs, Porsches, you name it. The lighter cars/AWD cars would all get the jump on him but man, when that V12 gets it's legs, he just smoothly walks them down like it's nothing. It's soooo

I prefer high strung, small displacement engines. BMW and Audi do this well, Merc seems to be more like the American car companies these days, dropping huge displacement engines into whatever...

As much as I love high revving motors, something tells me a bi-turbo V12 pushing 700 ft/lb TQ would put an gigantic smile on my face and a huge tent in my pants.

Yeah I think it was 738tq and thats after they detuned it so it wouldn't grenade the Maybach auto tranny they put in it.

I wanna see some stock and modded torque curves for those 6.0 TT motors.
It seems pretty great from 2-4K but after that it drops off amost 100tq by 5K.

Looking up 65's on yotube now

What a buzzkill.. as soon as I saw you turn the wheels into the turn I was getting hyped for a good ole' tire smoking donut.. but no..

Maybe you can sell it to mr. arab money.. he needs new tires so I'm sure he's in the market for a new car.

As far as the non M/S/RS/AMG models go I would tend to agree, I love the 3L engine in my car, it's a fun little engine to work with. It's a completely different story when you're talking high-performance in my mind though. I never cared much for top-end speed, I find that neck-breaking torque so much more fun!

Of every car I've driven it's always the torque that impresses me most. Of course the SL65 happens to take the cake in that regard, that car seemed amazingly quick at all speeds.

My ex-neighbor who works for a high end dealer once took home the CLK63 AMG black series. He also got to demo a Masserati Quattroporte. He'd bring these cars into a pretty sketchy neighborhood too.
