Hybrid accord if you care?

Here is a link to a teaser article about the new hybrid accord with some minor body changes.

Hybrid or not, I still don't like the current body style. I'd have to wait for the changes in body style coming up in '06 before I'd buy an Accord. I tend to keep vehicles a long time (current daily driver is 10 years old, but WILL be replaced with an '05 TL). I don't know how long term reliability or maintenance with hybrid systems will be. Also, it takes many years to 'pay' for the hybrid benefit with the price premium added and if gas prices come down even further, it will take that much longer.

Thanks for the link, though. All the way from Enterprise, Alabama to Dothan, Alabama!

Salesman Anthony Lee in Tallahasee at Proctor Acura quoted me 32,800 for a 6MT/Navi but he was just matching a quote I "quoted" from this forum from a NJ dealership. I've only spoken with the Montgomery dealership over the phone and they don't seem willing to deal.

The last vehicle I purchased was an Odyssey in Ohio, even though I lived here in Alabama. The Dothan Honda dealership was quoting rediculous prices. I'm more than willing to go back to Ohio or other states and fly to pick up the vehicle. My folks and wife's folks live in Cleveland, but if I can get a deal in NJ, I get virtually free plane tickets (certificates for $100 from credit card deal through Quicken for every $3000 spent- its a 'travel' program built into the credit card) and would be willing to go there. However, the Tallahasee dealership seems very reasonable on the base price. They won't budge on accessory prices, though. Everything I asked for in accessories was quoted as MSRP.
