IMO, the e46 M3's 18s are , but I love the 19s.

Me likey:

Hyper Silver M6 rims (I think they are 18s, maybe 19s):

Dunno, the M6s look OK, but with your car being black, you should get the black and white BMW logo center caps, not the blue and white logo.

those are the machined M6's

they have black accents on them.

hyper silver would be ALL silver on the wheel with no accents

Get Style 162 - replica available for 800$ a set (Morr). Here is one like mine (bought it yesterday night! ) Needs a suspension drop like the Sport package to look really good.

always loved these wheels... however if you own a 335i or 335xi chances are that you have them stock on your BMW - which would mean the "UNIQUE" I'm looking for would turn into "BLAND" because it would look like every other E90 on the block.

I think it's very hard to go wrong with the black on black combo!!! plus those m6 wheels are pure sex!! but for the money for the BMW wheels, i think you can find better look after market looking rims

so even if all the rims are 18x9 I would need to go smaller in the fronts? any tire size recommendations for the F if I'm using 255/35/18 in the rear?

even if i do, i'm not sure if its a staggered set so I'll need to address this issue no matter what I decide to get.

Maybe you could buy some used ones that you might like and if you don't you won't lose your ass

I'm sure someone on the E90 boards is selling aftermarket wheels.

most of them are cheap enough that i could resell them if i didn't want them and not loose any/much $.

I really thought the m5's would look awesome until i saw this:

i know they are winter wheels... so the side wall looks huge and they are only 17's as opposed to 18s that i'd get. also they are just plain brushed silver color not gunmetal but it just doesn't look right to me so now i'm scared to pull the trigger.

don't do the 540 sport package wheels, and dont do the e39 m5wheels. i'd go with the black m6 wheels, havent seen that on the road yet. seen a few e46-e90's with hyper silver m6 wheels.

anyone know if am i going to need wheel spacers too?

as ive been deciding about the rims and whatnot... i came across a tool to help me figure out how the new wheels/tires will effect the car and how it will fit. Sizing tool

stocks are 7 wide 34mm offset and tires are 205/55/16
new wheels are 8 wide front and either 8.5 or 9 in rear, 20mm offset and 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear.

as you see below it says i'll have less clearance and the new tires will stick out more. should i just measure and see if they will fit without spacers so they dont stick out TOO much or just use spacers.

im so confused, never done bigger rims/tires before.

Really? I like how the red lip throws just right (tiny) amount on contrast in. But, hey its your car do what you think is best, not what us treegoats think!

yea i'd say the e62-63 m6 wheels would be the way to go... in any of the three colors listed. they look good on the new 3's. you're right, black with black wheels may be hard to pull off, but i'd sure try!

Just picked these up. they are OEM rep 19" m6 wheels in machined silver w/gunmetal accents. The sale came with general UHP summer tires (fronts are 235/35/19 and the rears are 265/30/19) and i got a steal on them.

heres some pix from the sellers car, which was actually the same as my e90.

Now all I need to do is mount some TPMS sensors on them and wait until we get some warm weather.

When do you guys with 2 sets of wheels/tires take off the winters and go with the summer rubber?
