Also, I'm a huge for the Nissan, hated the CVT in the few Murano rentals I've had.
Highlander vs MDX, would be a toss up, drive both & see which I liked better.

Should walk in and offer them like 27.5 if it has been on the market that long.

I think some luxury amenities was one of the criteria...so, MDX should win out.

Are you paying cash or financing? Are you financing through them?

I’d setup the loan through my own terms and then show up with cash in hand. Or at least a certified cheque. People start changing their mind on price when they see the cash show up.

Judging by the age of his kids, doesn’t look like he really needs a van though. If they were younger, yeah.

C'mon, Waco. Given his pay grade, it's totally cash.

Big dealerships would much rather you finance.. some deals they make 3 points or more.. even if they can get a quarter or half a point, they want you financing.

Use that to your benefit.. get a great deal thinking they're going to make it up on the back end
Make sure there's no pay early penalties.. turn down all warranties.. shake hands, big smiles..
Then fuck them in the ass by paying that bitch off right away

Make sure gatrwife has the titties on display. That can't hurt the deal.

Unless the finance guy swings the other way. In which case, gatr needs to let his nutless sack dip out the fly of his Haggars.

I'm not denying what you say... but I have never been asked prior to making my deal whether I would be financing or not.

If I walk into a dealer with financing in place, they'll try to do whatever they can to get me to sign THEIR financing deal. If they offer a better rate, then fine. 6 months later the thing will be paid off no matter what I do. I can't stand car loans.

Considering 70% of Americans don't have 1k in their savings
It's almost a moot point

I have never been to a dealer that didn't ask me fairly early on if I was looking to finance.

Agree I like the edgier styling of the exterior on them. The 2007-2009 shield grill looked great. Had they just put that on everything things wouldn't have been so bad. Then they went and did the beak and things went to hell.

I really hope this is what goes down

Anyway to screw a dealer even a little is a win.

Ikr, can't I just look or go for a ride...

Honestly, we've probably test driven 50+ cars over last 5-6 and only actually bought three of them... Also, came really close to buying a used Lexus ES350 UL bit it would've needed a big loan...

yeah heard this is good strategy....secure financing at low rate from local credit union/local bank..bring rate to dealer...see if dealer/oem financing arm can beat it...if they can so be it, then pay off early anyway! heh

unless you get 0% apr

but feds been raising prime rates for a while now...i see mortgage and car rates going up steadily....maybe era of the super low rates are over...

I remember reading that. Scary AF. What happens when the water heater craps out? Or the transmission in their car shits the bed? Or....??

Credit cards, I guess? Way to rack up more debt!

I sometimes envy homies with the toys they buy and the money they spend. Always wondering how they can afford some of the stuff they do. And then I realize they’re probably living pay check to pay check. I then go to sleep not worrying about what would happen if I lost my job tomorrow

IIRC, in TX, you can pay off a car loan within 3 days with no early payment penalties. May be a bridge burned with the dealer, but 1 way to get a good deal.

It is over. Last time we had a car loan was when I got 2.5% (used). No way now.
