Had to pull the trigger... *New Pics Added 3/28*

Is it possible to "kind of" get a new car? Its deja vu all over again. I just picked up my brand spanking new 2010 Infiniti G37S in Graphite Shadow. If you remember, I had an 08 G37S in Black Obsidian but the current VPP price I qualified for made this an easy call. I got a brand new car and lowered my payment significantly. Here's the details:

2010 Infiniti G37S 7AT Graphite Shadow/Graphite
Premium
Sport
Navigation
Splash guards
Trunk net

MSRP - $45055
VPP sale price - $38970
39 mo lease $549/mo with $1200 due at signing (15k/year)

I know, I know, I got an automatic. Here's the thing, the 6MT is alot less refined than the auto IMO. This car feels about 100 times smoother than my last one. I also believe that the G series cars have a weak clutch. I was convinved mine was going any day so I jumped at the chance to get a new one. I love the updated nav system as well. Its got traffic and weather, Zagat, speed limit warning, and USB for my iPod.

Here's the pics:

I LOVE this color btw...

The updated interior feels a little more expensive than the last one...

The paddles are cool and the throttle blip on downshifts sounds great...

Redesigned center console...

The new aluminum trim is called shodo but I prefer the old stuff...

My photo skills have not improved at all...

She had 7 miles on her yesterday...

This looks familiar...

Nav weather FTW!

I'm still an Infiniti man!

Congrats!

Nothing wrong with your choice of an automatic either.

You know your sick?!just like the rest of us.

Congratulations though, I would have picked an automatic as well, she looks absolutely stunning, the new interior and navi must are a big plus as well. Enjoy in the best of health.

My dad actually picked up a black obsidian 2010 G37S 7AT sedan about a week ago. I love the sport seats. Some fatasses complain that the seats are too tight...to them I say lose some weight! lol

Those are the color combos and options I think work best for the G37-- including the AT.

Congrats!

Infiniti has really made the quality of the dash of the G37 better than the original G; otoh, the G35 had a better front fascia.

No, it was financed. I came to the realization that I will probably never pay a car off so I might as well lease...

That's not a bad thought. As long as you can keep the mileage under the cap, and don't mod the car too much you'll do better than purchasing every 3-4 years (and financing).

Nice "new" G. That's nice to get a newer one for less money. And I 100% agree on the automatic from the reviews I've read it's a great tranny.

Nice pickup. As of late, I'm seeing A LOT of G37 coupes here in Central NJ. As for getting an AT, don't sweat it: it's a Nissan not a Honda; the AT only makes it marginally less quick/fast.

That's great to see how you benefit with lower payments, but I was wondering didn't you get slammed when you trade in due to payoff amount versus trade in value?

congrats!!

this and the 335i are my favorite coupes, but this can be had for much less than a comparable 335i. I know that the 335i has a good amount of issues like hpfp & etc but has the G given you any problems?

Great looking car. Congrats again on the purchase.

The G37 looks great in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

I had a few TSB's performed on my last car but it never gave me any trouble. The battery did die after only 2 years though (they covered under warranty)....

More pics of my new car...

I was tempted to call this a photoshoot just for Sarlacc. Yes, I still suck at phots but the good news is I have Photoshop (which I also suck at using). Anywho, I decided to take some new pics and try some stuff out. Enjoy!
