Had one of those days today......

Needed a balance, rotation, & alignment on the CLS. Seemed simple......
I go to a different place cause I was in the area doing some work, & they had a hunter 9000 balancer. I had work done on another car before without a problem.
So I park, but the damn parking curb was this HUGE ass one & I hit it a wee bit too much. I then pulled back & the entire lower engine cover folded underneath itself. I'm like damn! WTF! I go get a tech & ask to use a jack. So I jack it up & release the pressure & it bends back. Most of the clips are broken though. I was a bit pissed off so I left it there & went to do my work(1pm) & returned hours later(3pm)

As I get back I see a bunch of techs around the front of my car. So I go over. I see the drivers side of my bumper completely off the little hooks. Appearantly my car was a bit too low for the lift ramps. Tech told me it went up fine he excepted down would not be a problem. So they are all around trying to get the bumper back on. They take it & put it on a real lift & an hour later the bumper is back on. I inspected it & everything was good.

So then I go to pay the bill, Price was fine but going over it I see they had to replace a wheel stud & lug nut. For some reason they sheared it clean. Strange since it was TQ'd by hand by me.
By this point I'm actually not mad at all. I was happy the bumper was ok, so I pay & leave.

However I needed gas so I went & got that. The pump shut off didn't shut off so it spewed gas all over the place as I was in the store bathroom.
You'd think someone would see this & do something. NO, gas was all over the place before an attendant cared enough to do anything. So now I have gas all over the car, on me, & wasted $$.

I then go home get stuck in pooring rain.
Finally I'm home(5pm), & vow to have a better day tomorrow

Rough day. I didn't have such a great one myself. Too many things going wrong at work and I got wiped and didn't go work out afterwards. Came home & took a 45 minute nap - I was out like a light.

At least this didn't happen on a Monday or Friday - although it does make the beer taste better

And I don't know if that makes sense but I'm not going to reword anything

Tough day but about the gas spillage, i thought it was mandatory for you to be supervising it while at pumps, well at least that is how they want it here in my neck of the woods.

I was shocked how much the front bumper bends without damage. When I backed up from the curb the under side of the bumper was REALLY bent. I was thinking great my bumper is toast now. And when the techs were bending the bumper to get it back on right. They were not being gental about it either.
I guess these plastic bumpers are worth something.

I'm glad your gas stations have bathrooms.

It's alright. These bumpers can take quite a beating. My 06 TSX has been rearended 3 times, and backed into once in the front.

After being rearended three times, it finally took some damage.

This happened yesterday when I was parked in my school parking lot. *rant rant rant* I guess some of us just have these days more often than others. =/

I think the thing to top off your day would have been if you lit a cigarette on the ride home, and you would've went on fire from the gas on your clothes. Other than that, I'd say you had a pretty shitty day - sorry.

I guess we all have them though.

Sometimes you need days like that so you appreciate the others....or some shit like that.

Either way....here's hoping today is better than yesterday.

I would never leave gas 'in-motion' unattended. Someone could come by and steal some gas, vandals could do something stupid to your car while it's asshole is exposed, or what you just described.
