Gotta love the 6MT .. (New car)
As deltaboxxx says, I am more indecisive than a girl on prom night ..
I was juggling the idea around of getting an Speed3 .. but I couldn't get away from the J Series love. .
I went down to the Honda Dealer and picked up a 2004 Honda Accord 6MT Coupe in Sapphire Blue with black leather.
The car currently has 74,000 miles on the clock with a fresh clutch. I love having that extra gear.
Pics coming tomorrow .

Congrats! The first Honda produced car I ever purchased was a new '05 Accord 6MT. For the price, I found it a very capable car. Excellent performance and road manners, it's surprised more than a few more expensive machines. I still have it and find it as entertaining to drive as when I first purchased it.
Enjoy your new machine.

Congrats!
When I was in high school, I always wanted that Accord with 6MT! I've driven it before and fell in love with its smoothness.
Time to mod!

I remember how much I wanted that 6mt coupe when it first came out. I always saw it as the replacement/gap filler to the prelude.
Looks great.

Oh yeah, and I definitely remember the day when I raced my friend's Accord 6MT with my 3G TL and lost by 1 car length.. I hated my TL ever since then. lol

So how does it feel coming from an auto TL to the AV6 6mt? I was asked about how it felt coming from my auto CL-S. I felt like it was definitely as quick as the CL-S (which was modded) if not quicker.

My TL had full bolts except for precat deletes and supercharger, so it was decently quick for a 5AT (At most 230 / 235WHP), I think the Accord would edge my TL by 100 and keep pulling due to it's shorter gears and it being 250lb lighter.
No doubt in my mind after a J-pipe / Intake / some other exhaust work it will be a monster from a roll.
One thing I can tell immediately is the torque, I planted my foot in 3rd @ about 4500RPM and got a little torque steer when I switched lanes on the freeway ..

I too regretted getting 5AT after hearing about how short the gears are in the 6MT TL .. not to mention the better brakes.
You won't regret going to to a car in a manual, it makes you a much more aware / efficient driver ..

I clicked that video and the car sounds wondeful .. nice little chirp from 1st > 2nd.
I just got back from my lunch break and I'm slowly starting to get used to the clutch, shifts are coming smoothly.

I remember the clutch engagement on that car being VERY low.

^ Very. I felt like I was learning how to drive manual after taking the car for a test drive .
I think J-Pipe is going on first. The amount of torque gains it offers really helps with everyday driving .. less shifting for me .

The challenger's clutch is very HIGH. It screws me up when I immediately drive the Pathfinder (which has a mid-lower engagement) moving the two of them around.

Yeah the clutch release/grab on the 6mt is very tough to get used to. I still jerk it from time to time (no pun intended).

Day 2 of having the car and I am happier and happier each time I drive it. I love the fact I don't have to downshift in 6th until about 40mph.
Only thing that suprised me was the car would not go into 2nd gear when I was in the middle of my drive this morning. I just went from 1st > 3rd > 4th > 5th .. next stop light it was perfectly fine.
Time to go to GM Syncromesh I guess.

^ Yes, go with the GM Syncromesh. It really does make it shift smoother.
Even after nearly 3 years of ownership I still love driving mine, and on top of it it's reliable and fuel efficient.
