got TSX as a loaner

Feels just like the Cl in every category except acceleration.

No memory on the seats, no heated mirrors... but if I made less money I would have gotten one.

which CL are you comparing it too?
Its leaps and bounds above a first gen.

Brakes way better, handles about the same, but a little tighter. exhaust is quiet (well thecabin is, didnt have the windows down.)

I had one as a loaner for 2 days and i didnt want to give it back. cept i wanted a 6spd. and of course now id rather have the TL

I test drove a tsx with intentions to buy before I bought the cls. Looked good with stock body kit and projector HID's. However before I signed papers I took a cls for a drive .. soon as I stepped on the gas in the CLS I told the salesman to rip up the TSX papers.

I got to drive it some more, and I think it actually handles better than the Cl-S or maybe because its not at the normal speed I corner at due to slower acceleration, I must say though the leather is a lot more plush

Well the TSX will handle better cause of smaller wheelbase.

TSX reminds me so much of the Lexus ES...amazing attention to detail on the interior...kinda blah exterior styling

Well the TSX interior is light years ahead of the CL.

I was referring to the exterior comment.

My buddy bought an 03 TSX 6sp a couple of months after i bought my 03 CL-S 5AT. We've tried to find time to take them out for a little "action" and finally had a chance a couple weeks ago. My thoughts:

Like the look of the TSX, sharp exterior, sharp interior. Frankly, it's a pretty quick car too. . . put them side by side and there's a level of detail on it which is more modern than the CL (makes sense, it's the new style line for Acura) . . .now on to the performance.

After burning around for a whole day, i think it's safe to say that the TSX, even with a 6sp driven well against a CLS 5AT is not a fair fight. We had one stoplight battle and i eased off the gas at 30 mph because it was over. . .he said he dropped the clutch to high and burned a little too much, but i had the VSC off too and torched the front tires as only the CLS can. . .and he admitted that it wasn't too close. . .that being said, i'll concede that the TSX is easily a better handling car. It's much more nimble. These car's really aren't competitors. . .different prices, different cars, both fantastic. . .but if you want fast, go find a CLS.

With a good CAI and aftermarket exhaust I bet the TSX would be alot quicker...and even more fun to drive.

I looked at the dyno graphs on the Comptech website for the TSX with intake / headers / exhaust. I didn't find the difference too significant.

That dyno shows 191whp, 159tq on a 3230lb car. That's 300lbs lighter than a CL-S. I think it will keep up with an auto CL-S.

Let's not forget they will soon have a Hondata reflash - I expect with all the bolt ons and the reflash that you would have a low 14 sec car.

Who uses the heated mirrors?

Driving home today in the worst storm of the year, i realized I never used or really needed to use the heated outside mirrors. Who the hell uses them and why?

I had a TSX loaner recently with the auto and it was a dog, best i could get an unofficial 0-60 was around 8 seconds. It was floaty in high speed corners also. For 27K, i'd get a 03 TL-S on clearance.
