You are living my dream. ... a built 996 Turbo is going to be insane.
What other supporting mods are you doing? I'm assuming you'll be staying in a safe power range on the stock motor?

I did new fuel pump about 12 months ago, so fuel system is pretty refreshed. did intercoolers as well about a year ago. This will be about max output before I'd need to build the motor.

Will the COBB tune be fully custom?

There's nothing more heart breaking than somebody who goes through all of the work of upgrading turbos & all supporting mods by putting an off-the-shelf tune on it
I'll shut up now and enjoy the updates as they come in.
Thanks!

i'll be adding a 4th by the end of the year........been looking for a clean 62-64 impala to do a full lowrider with....no bags....all hydros....and rolling on 13's. I need to be able to drop the kids off at the elementary school on 3 wheels. Been looking for about 6-7 months.

I'm on my 4th...and get made fun of for being eccentric. I'm like, what the fuck, driving the same car more than one day a week is uncivilized.
Plus, each one is good at something different.
Impala will be sexy as fuck! I love your style...
If I ever go classic it'll be a 65 Continental...I loved it before Entourage even existed.

Hardtop coupe, i don't do verts. Nothing outrageous, not going to do a fully body off or something dirty. Prefer looking for something 'almost' done. Something with a decent paint job where I can just some flake and dolly art on the roof and send out to the hydro shop. I almost came up on a steal a few weeks ago. Was a '64 with an LS swap that was clean, but literally got sold underneath me.
Ironically, the reason I got the porsche was I was bidding on a '62 impala that Jesse James had done for Tyson Beckford and literally lost by like $200 on ebay in the last second. The wife looked at me after and said....go buy a turbo......

Here are the local ones to me.. prices are a bit high, but fairly clean TX rides, not restomodded.

Btw. Took it to the track a few weeks back for some good ole fashion 1/4 mile times. I'm nervous to launch hard, and even soft launches it lights all the tires up. My best 60ft was 1.9 and best time was 11.8 @ 127.......
