Got an 02 TL for a loaner from dealer
Getting a CT drop and sways put on my 6sp. Dealer gave me a blue 02 TL as a loaner.
Appearance - Clean, but could use some Zaino. Tires looked real bad and needed some treatment. Interior needed serious leather cleaning and conditioning. Windows were in need of Windex too. It's a shame to see such a nice car neglected.
I never drove an auto CL or TL so here's what I think.
Smooth and your doing 60 before you know it. I noticed the tach read 2.25 (in D5) while doing 80 mph. When I do 80 on my 6sp, the tach reads around 2.8. Go figure, the 6sp has an additional speed, but rev's higher,
Observations of the Sports shifter. It seams to take too long to move between gears. When I slammed up to the next gear, I found it took too long to catch. When downshifting you have no way of tapping the tach up to catch the gear in the higher RPM so you feel a sudden dive forward. I'm sure there's way to compensate these SS issues, I'm just not used to it.
I think I'll continue going to this dealer because the dealer who I bought the car from gave me a Hyundai when i brought it in for warranty service a few months ago.

I took mine in this AM for the 15k service. Got a loaner. Ordered my CT Headers from the DEALER which the DEALER is going to install. Not bad. Oh, got a TL for a loaner. Nice car. Not my speed, but I could drive it for a few weeks, but then I would be bored. Oh, mine is about as clean as yours. Needs tint.

I have no prob paying a little more to get it done right and the fact that there will be no future headaches is well worth it. Hmm, maybe my dealer can throw in a little nitrous...

still a Masshole
Stejus, where did you go if you don't mind me asking. Ac of Bos gave me a TL-P when my car was in for two weeks waiting for the new tranny. Nice car but since I have headers (and now an icebox) the TL felt a lot slower than my car. As you said, it felt neglected and had the moonroof rattle. It was still nice of them to give me a tl as a loaner.
Someday you need to come out to a meet!

People treat loaner cars like shit...the dealers write them off. I've had TLP's and RSX's and they were all beaten on with very low mileage. The G35 Sedan I got as a loaner was pretty nice though.

I took it to Gettle in Sarasota. They are actually listed on the CT websit. This is my first visit, but so far so good. I called up to make the apt. and happened to ask about doing a header install and the service woman tells me oh, we sell for Comptech. These guys will even do the S/C. Out of my budget, but I though that was cool. I will let you know how they perform on the 15k service. They are also adjusting the e-brake and fixing the sunroof rattle. I am going to bring back the car for the headers as soon as they come in.
