Is this a good price? (Range Rover)

despite all the bad compliments on problems with Rovers and its high consuming engine, my parents still decided to get the car.
After all it isn't too bad, considering that
1. they have a daily car, and this will be a weekend car
2. they don't go climbing rocks, they are really getting it for their taste, their style

Anyways, we went to the dealer couple times, and the best price for Range Rover Sport HSE with luxury package (which is basically fully loaded) for 52000.
The MSRP sticker price on this actual model is 62400.

I know the SUV prices are low, but can i go lower? does 52000 sound about right?

I'm trying to negotiate into 55000 out the door price (including 7% tax, registration, license etc), so that the only car price will be somewhere between 50000 and 51000.

What do you guys think?

I would buy a slightly used one..maybe one with 5-15K miles on it. Range Rover depreciates very fast and you can save some serious $$ by getting something that was used.

LOVE Range Rovers! If I could afford to fix one, I'd get one

I don't think they're going to go used. We all screamed and clamored for them to buy used and it looks like they are going new

$10k off new is pretty good, but like someone said earlier, check out some used 07's and 08's. These things depreciate by the minute... Your $52k RRS will be worth literally half that in 24-36 months.

^ haha. Same here. We have a neighbor who had a RR Sport. Hot truck, but I saw a loaner in the driveway more then their car. They then decided to get a Discovery thinking they'd have more luck with that... well not so much. Not quite in the shop as much as the Sport, but still problematic.

Drove by yesterday and happened to see a 330 convertible in the driveway. Guess they gave up on RR altogether

Maybe try Edmunds true market value pricing. Supposedly it tells you what people in your area are paying for a particular vehicle.

And yeah, good luck to them with the vehicle. One of our neighbors has a RR (Discovery I think) and I saw a loaner in their driveway for over a month this summer.

I was askin b/c my friend had a 2006 Land Rover that he recently replaced with an Escalade ...I love RR, but for all they can do, they are not reliable enough...to get it done when you need it...
