GNX - Wow, less than 10 miles

Man, talk about a nice ride. I would really like to have this. I wonder how much it will end up selling for?

teranfon 05-02-2007 10:49 AM

Yeah, pretty much a time warp car. There seems to be a handful of GNXs and Grand Nationals with very miles on them.

Local car guy has a Buick T Type with 18,000 miles.

Crazy Bimmer 05-02-2007 12:07 PM

Poor car. Wonder if it has the original oil

My 86' GN still has less than 10 000 miles on it. This summer I think she'll finally turn over into five digits:).

invisiblewar 05-02-2007 02:26 PM

wow man...that was an investment...lol

F23A4 05-02-2007 02:28 PM

Nice. I would NOT pay $100k for it though. (maybe $60k tops!!)

NSXNEXT 05-02-2007 09:21 PM

Besides being a fast car, it's ugly as sin. Always thought so.

AS3.0CL 05-02-2007 09:38 PM

my dad has been trying to find a GNX in a good condition, just haven't been able to. he use to work on them back when he had a speed shop. he said he would change up engine management on a GNX and have the needle buried at 15psi and the car would pin you.

i just showed him it, he said if i had the money right now he'd buy it. to bad the business has been slow. i'm drooling over it, i hope it was at least started up and let run once a month.

sbuswell 05-02-2007 10:08 PM

awesome car, very impressive.

subinf 05-02-2007 10:21 PM

Wow. Too much money though.

HawaiiTL 05-03-2007 05:44 AM

Wow! $30,000 for that car in 1987. The value of that car has increased at a rate of over $3,000 a year.

JensH1963 05-03-2007 06:18 AM

When I was still living in the States there was a Dealer in Danbury Conn. (Robert Buick-Pontiac) that had a new GNX never registered sitting on the showroom floor. According to the last news I had from my former home the car was still sitting on the showroom floor in pristine condition with no miles.

Cool Grand National!

Buick needs to come back with this. I think this would be the only Buick other the Reatta that is cool.

When I think Buick for some reason I think of an old Senior Citizen couple driving one.

I know seriously... It's hard to believe that they did make a kick ass car at one point.

I'm still in shock that it cost 30K back in 87! :what:

What is that, probably like 45K maybe 50K now?

JnC 05-16-2008 07:21 AM

Back on the auctioning block :)

GNX

FiftyFive 05-16-2008 07:33 AM

Meh maybe if it had 3 miles on it.

Buick will continue to be the old farts division of GM. Now Pontiac is getting a nice infusion of muscle into their lineup with the G8. Lutz has stated that Pontiac will become the performance division of GM. Well other than the Corvette. :D

:werd: $54,700 in 2007 dollars. So, it would be fairly pricey. (Even a fairly loaded 08 Shelby GT 500 comes in a few thousand $$ shy of the $54,700 mark.)

I did not know the GNX package cost $11k alone.

you think someone will do this with a ZR1 vette or SRT-8 charger or something of similar taste?

It's really nothing special. IMO it's a waste of a nice car that should have been driven. 9 miles?? who the hell cares? That means nobody got to enjoy the car for what is was meant to do. DRIVE IT. $108k to be part of a history only a few hundred people care about. LOL

paliknight 05-16-2008 01:28 PM

to be honest, id rather get the GTR for 70 grand and put the 38k thats left as a down payment for a house.

BENDER08 05-16-2008 02:24 PM

i wonder if it still has that new car smell

RaviNJCLs 05-16-2008 04:01 PM

Wow. Still definitely a fugly car.

Costco 05-16-2008 09:09 PM

Dry rot

I wouldn't drive that thing at all, if I even beyond enough money to afford it I would replace the important hoses and fluids ASAP. Hell I'd rather find one with a bit more miles and rebuild the thing and pocket the extra change and have a much more powerful GN
