GF hit something with her car

Ok guys,
I'm needing some of you guys' expertise on cars here. My GF drives an 04 Honda accord LX. She was driving along the highway where some douchebag was changing a tire, it rolled out onto the highway and they just left it there. Well... most people were able to drive around it but when she got to it, there were cars next to her so the only thing she could do was slam the brakes. She rolled over the wheel with her right tire.

She is now telling me 2 months later that she has a feeling she isn't getting even close to what she used to get in gas mileage.

I have gotten an alignment. Checked the tire pressures, and drove the car up onto ramps to check for any damage. The only damage that i could see was cosmetic and it was only the plastic peice that's underneath the car towards the right front. I just undid the screw and put everything back. So that all looked good from there. It didn't look like there was anything behind the plastic. I have also changed her air filter about a month or two ago.

Is there any other possible reason why the car might not be getting the gas mileage that it used to? Or do you think it's mostly phycological? I can't think of anything else that might have been damaged during that. There are no check engine lights or any wierd noises. Everything feels like it should (at least according to me).

thanks in advance

Very well could be psychologoical, and she should be getting better gas mileage right now with less additives in the gas due to the two hurricanes in the gulf this summer. She may also be in more traffic or she might be driving differently, going to more stores for the holidays meaning more stop and go traffic.
