I honestly dont think the interior will look like that. I think the layout might be similar, but it should be better. Remember that you saw it from a tuning mag, those colors wont be there. Steering wheel should be different. But the layout should be simialr? Which wasn't so bad. Then you have to remember this car isn't finished yet. So things like putting a cover over those cup holders can still happen.
I might be a little to optimistic here haha

so with all the bashing on honda recently, it got me thinking. Is there at least one car honda produces thats at the top of its competition with little/no questions asked...
I found one!
Honda Fit.
Just read a comparo of that recently with C&D and even though the fit is late in its production line, and with the new comers, its still a winner. Whats close though is the Mazda 2.

the white model is a "modellista" version, meaning its highly customized with toyota options, heres something pretty damn close to the production version, if not the actual production version
we are gettin very close to reveal

nitpicking aside, the simple fact that this car exists says alot about the fact that toyota had the balls to bring it to market.
with cars like the IS-F, possible GS-F, LFA, and the FR-S toyota is doing alot more for the enthusiast than Honda is
what the fuck do we have, the civic SI? woop-tee-doo
sat in one at the NY auto show, it was a piece of shit
The SHAWD-TL is like the only good performance Honda left, and i know many of you would even disagree with that

Toyota, Hyundai, and Nissan still have the bread winner vehicles, but they also have their little group of performance vehicles.
Heres hoping Honda wises up and starts starting trends instead of following them when it's already too late before another company has a death grip on it.

I'll still reserve judgement on the interior of the FT-86 till I see it in person. I dont like scion interiors at all but lets hope that this is a little different in that it doesn't look cheap.
Hard plastics are guaranteed in a car of this price. But theres a huge difference between hard plastic that looks cheap and one that looks nice.

ive seen hard plastic done right. it can make a big difference like you said.
I really just want Honda to have ONE halo car. I really do think Toyota saw the importance of having a "brand ambassador" and knew what they were doing with LFA.
They aren't profitable, or cheap, but Halo cars like the Reventon, LFA, One-77, etc. do alot for the brand

Fiat announced that they are gonna reveal the 500 abarth at the la auto show! Def wanna check that out. I wonder how it will drive compared to cars like the GTI. I'm sure its gonna have a lot less power but its also gonna be lighter

Regarding the FT-86, things like interior styling and plastics seem rather mundane when considering it will probably be the only sub $20,000 sporty rear-driver. I'd buy one if the gearshift was a dildo.
Well, not quite, but you know what I mean.

If the site's translations are accurate, the vehicle will boast a 2.0-liter flat-four producing 197 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 150 pound-feet of torque at 6,600 rpm. While not overwhelming numbers, if the handling is as good as we've been hearing, the powertrain should be enough to hustle the 2,667-pound coupe around your favorite twisty road at a respectable pace.
The sheet also reveals that the FR-S will come in two trims, at least in Japan. A higher-spec variant will come with a limited-slip rear differential in both manual and automatic-equipped vehicles, while the lower-spec model will only have the LSD when equipped with a third pedal (which is just fine by us).
Topped-out JDM versions will also have a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED accent lighting, a six-speaker audio system, sport pedals and white-faced gauges. Models will also be differentiated by wheel size, with higher-trims wearing modest 17-inch rollers and lower models rolling on 16-inch stock."

I think Id be perfectly fine with the base model and a 6MT. Most of the extra shit they put into it I would end up replacing anyway. Im hoping that parts between this and the Subaru are relatively inexpensive and plentiful. Its like a mini-370Z.

yea thats what I'm worried about too. Its gonna be mid 20s by the time you add some options.

So i drove to Vegas from LA yesterday, and i saw so many show cars for SEMA on the way. one of them was this freaking heavily modified Fiat 500. it had wide rims with fat tires, widened fenders, aftermarket exhaust, a thick roll cage in the back, and buttloads of sponsor shop stickers. It looked great to me.

Im not a big fan of the clear tail light look either. If thats how it comes stock, I would paint them all red or possibly tint the clear section.

Here's a post from one of insideline's longterm blog about Audi's LED lights.
I really like them, but looking at the comments a lot of people don't on their don't. Wanted to know what you guys think.
edit: nvm going further down in the comments reveals that more people like it
Our 2012 Audi A8L sports a pretty mean and complicated-looking set of headlights -- LED headlights.
Every 2012 Audi A8 comes with LED DRLs, the thin blue-white underline seen above. A closer look reveals 22 LED segments strung closely together so they appear as one.
Actual LED headlights are a stand-alone option on the A8, an option that'll set you back $1,600.
Amber LEDs are contained within the same 22 reflective elements as the DRLs, allowing them to serve double-duty as turn signals and 4-way flashers.
Ten larger LED segments blaze into action when the low beam headlights come on. I didn't have a chance to take them out into a pitch black desert night, but in general use around town they produce a clear even pattern of light. As you might guess from looking at them the upper cutoff isn't a sharp straight line; it's more diffuse with a hint of scalloping when you get up close to a garage door.
Things start to get menacing when the high beams come on. These lamps are LEDs, too, according to Audi press materials, and they're very bright.
These so-called "all-weather lights" point outward at a sharp angle to illuminate the shoulder and the verge. As with all other such fog or driving lights in these United States, they only work in low-beam mode; they wink off when you turn on the brights. They're controlled by a seperate button off to the side of the main rotary headlight switch.
Are the Audi's LED headlights worth it? On wow-factor alaone, I'd say yes. The light they throw down is certainly clear and bright, and the pattern doesn't seem to have any dim spots. A full coverage test on a very dark road will surely come in the months ahead. You can bet this won't be the last blog post that'll be written about them.

So i was reading earlier about the Subaru side of the joint venture with their BRZ prototype that C&D got to drive.
C&D loved it, and a few things to note. They said it should have around 210-220 hp, so it will be a slight bump over the FRS i guess? Another thing I learned was, according to subaru they designed the engine chassis and all that, while toyota did more of the design for the car. Dunno how true that is.
Another thing, expect a base price of around 28k for the BRZ... they did mention things like it having a lower center of gravity than a cayman (apparently they targeted that car for handling) and that whoever was talking for subaru said, if you want a high hp car we have the sti for that.

As far the NSX goes, that's great: another Honda gem that went nowhere in further development. This article probably gives Honda more reason to rest on their laurels.

Have you guys seen the movie Senna? It moved me.
I don't follow any of Formula 1 related news at all. Never really watched the F1 races before except for some of those highlight clips.
But really.. I thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I became a fan of Formula 1.

Did the one you dl have english subtitles??
I was streaming it and in the beginning some small interview was in another language and there were no subtitles. I looked at placed to dl, but most people said there's no english subtitles.
I looked to buy it on Amazon, and it puts the Region code in Europe, I know there will be subtitles but I dont want everything changed, if they did that? And its a French movie so they may have changed it for that DVD and I dont really wanna spend $25 not knowing if I'll get a version I'll enjoy watching lol
