To get to that level or higher of trim with powah..
Probably only thing that fits the bill is Navigator.. or X7.
Navigator is plush.
X7 is the one I'd more likely consider though.
Not so polarizing (that grill) and less gimmicky.
But that Navi..
Should make some newage rap videos.

The escalade and yukon denali have plenty of powah
But trim and features not to the same level as Telluride

Too big, Telluride, GLE, X5 sized is likely where we'll end up, unless I can convince to go down to 'mid-sized' like a GLC, X3, Forester, etc.

New X5 has a 3rd row
But it's fucking laughable

I don't know much about the GLS but, doesn't that have a 3rd row...?

I'm not recommending it in any way, just saying the 2020 Exploder is out and doesn't look too shabby. It's low AF for an SUV as well - doesn't even come up to my nose (I'm 6'2). Would probably get more on trade for your Flex, too.

It's low because it's a Taurus.

How quick you all are to forget the Durango RT and SRT.

Plus, I'm not wanting to drop big $$ on a new car right now.
Going to troubleshoot the Flex & keep kicking it down the road a bit more.

Flex still acting up after replacing the ignition switch. Failing to even remote start now. Thinking maybe a bad starter.

Just get a new car and be done with it....

Leaning that direction a bit. Going to attempt to troubleshoot a bit over the weekend & see where that goes.

Maybe just plop an EB engine in it.. I hear their starters are more robust.

Anyone know where I can look at renting a Mercedes other than Turo? I was hoping to find an E-Class coupe on a vacation coming up.
2024 Honda Civic Type R
Sixt.com has several you can rent, at least from Chicago O'Hare when I checked. But it looks like only sedans and SUVs.

Enterprise has an S-Class sedan for rent in DC. I got that for a couple of days for a drive to Pittsburgh to try out the technology; especially the Distronic package.

Good luck going back to your DD after a few days in a newer S. Easily the most comfortable car I've ever driven. The TTV8 helps quite a bit as well; can neither confirm/deny that at 100mph, you can whisper...no road noise/wind noise, just comfortable classy silence.

We all want more power.... but what is the point of this car if you have to fight for traction in the 6th

Never saw the point of a Hellcat caliber swap in a Miata. Not enough weight pushing down on the tires. Doesn’t matter how wide you go, after a certain point it actually makes it worse.
on the other hand, this is cool as shit.

I’m actually hoping it’s that nice. I saw an E53 coupe in person yesterday and the E450 4Matic is my choice in two years unless I can get a good deal on an E53 when the time comes. I never considered myself a Mercedes person but the E-Class coupe really caught my eye.

I like how the intake looks like a giant dong just laying to the side and knowing it's massive and strong.

The new E-class has grown on me, and I could see a CPO in the garage down to road a bit. More comfortable than the C, but still sporty enough to be fun.

wonder if that BBC will be on the driver's face at 100mph...
Chapter Leader (Southern Region)
Drives a Miata.. wants BBC in the face.. that's actually quite logical now that you say it.

Taco had a Miata and was always talkin' about black dudes.. BLACKED!

The only thing that concerns me about the E53 is I have seen a few photos of them on fire now. But hopefully by the time I buy a CPO that will have been fixed.

Hopefully it has the heated neck collars because it would be fun to drive around with the top down at that time of year.

I'd have no complaints on the x400 series. Have heard a few blast from a light & they sounds quite good for a 6.
It's not S-class, but an E400 cab should be pretty
