The FX37 or whatever the fark it's called now has a decent-sounding exhaust note too. Driving one today as my car's in the shop getting its winter tires swapped out back to summers.

Nissan / Infiniti def know exhaust notes.
I recently had a QX80 for a day and man that thing sounded SWEEET.

44's are nice but it seems to tame the beast even more. No resonators on V that I'm aware of.. other than the mufflers, it runs straight from the cats. Corsa makes a nice axleback with a nice note, but it's way too much $$. I might go flowmaster + x-pipe.
No way.. the S/C is plenty and I'd miss the whine.. That big ass hair dryer does look cool though. I'd be concerned it might inhale cats, dogs and small children.
Some guys have swapped out the S/C for the hair dryer though.

Oh yes. Those are definitely symphonic.
I really enjoyed the NSX (no, not the vaporcar that's incoming) exhaust note too when I test-drove one a few years back...the salesman pulled it up from the lot and when he fired it up and revved it (probably part of the pitch, ha), it had me at herro.
The other really memorable sound from a car I can recall was many years ago (more like in my schooling days) back in 1999 or something...Someone near my relatives' residence in Taiwan owned a Ferrari 360 Modena...it was just a lazy quiet Sunday morning and the guy started it up in the empty streets and the sound it made as it echoed around the condos/apartments...? Wow...From my vantage point on my uncle's balcony, the guy just drove the Ferrari around the empty block a few times and man, I could've watched and listened to that forever.

My favorite is that custom exhaust on the W220 S600 that sounds like an F1 car.

Went to a local VW dealer to check out the Golf R for fun.

What's great is it screams at even a low speed.
I hope they don't sell a single one.. Buyers should boycott these stealerships.

$6k market adjustment? There are dealers all over selling for a little over invoice. Wonder what sucker is going to pay that.

I am pretty sure some idiot will buy it for $46k.

Well it is a VW

That Golf R has been sitting at the lot for several weeks now. The salesmans were like "I don't know why. It's a hot car. Nobody's buying this one."

Aside from that markup crap, the car looked nice. They weren't allowing anyone to test drive it since it's such a freaking unicorn car for them.
Not sure if I can ever justify paying $40k for that car over a $26k WRX though.

WRX is 26k?!.. looks about right.

Yeah, you can get one for $26k. And call me crazy, I like WRX's interior more.
The GTi and Golf R interior look pretty boring to me for some reason. I've always had that feel ever since I test driven MK5.
Not sure if you guys have sat in a new WRX/STi, the interior has been improved by a mile. The previous generation was a complete junk though, that's for sure.

fk the interior.. might as well strip it. I'm talking about it looking like a base model focus.

The whole you can't drive it thing is BS too, hate when dealers say things like that.

The interiors in the Golf are just quality feeling and you don't get even close to that in the Subaru, even the new ones. They do look boring but they feel awesome. Also, the WRX can't be had in hatchback anymore. FTL.

Still up!
btw C&D and R&T subscriptions are back for $4.50. They ask to renew for two years for like $8-10 afterward as well. Not free, but at least you don't have to click bait quiz bs.

Think its $15 a month and you subscriptions to a ton of magazine including C&D, R&T, Automobile...etc
Not a bad deal. Bunch of others, too, like Rolling Stone, Wired, Mens Health etc
