We should ban anyone posting a link to an article that says the Versa isn’t a bad car.

Seems to have hit a nerve ...
Posting =/= agreement.
For the record:
-I don't think the Versa isn't a bad car, although the author said as much. IOW, to my mind, the Versa and that CVT suck. Period.
-I like the power in my current DD (258 hp when new, surely less by now) ... when my foot says giddy-up, it goes ... and the VTEC's nice, too ...
-That said, my DD's driving dynamics basically suck: nose-heavy, fwd, and it's too floaty in the twistys ...

Whats up with RDX owners?

Many years ago I owned a second-gen Ford Tempo, which sucked. Sometime after that I owned a Saturn Ion, which also sucked, but a bit less.
With that said - I think my daily is a pretty competent car. Power wise, it's great. But as a car guy, I'm always searching for more. I wish the chassis was a bit more buttoned down, but overall, it's pretty good for a relatively heavy hatchback. I love the interior and the "bland-ness" of the exterior. I just wish it got better gas mileage.

Nobody.
But people in their teens and early 20s (on limited budgets) often inherit such vehicles as their first cars. (Hence the qualifying phrase at the very start "many years ago" .....)

Every time I see some POS low rent Nissan or, god forbid, a Mitsubishi I always wonder what drove someone to spend their hard earned money on that vs something like a Civic, Corolla, or Focus...
I stopped reading here. Either this guy is a glutton for punishment or, as Maj says, he is not a car guy. Who willingly buys a Tempo AND an Ion??

I'd put the Golf R in the fun category (if the GTI is then surely the R is). I agree with loving the bland-ness of the exterior. Definitely flies under the radar, especially so with 17" base wheels.
He also states that the AMG-C and the 911 are fun cars and cars that are beyond fun cars are ones with over 400hp...the 911 and the AMG C class both have more than 400hp...
What the fuck is beyond fun supposed to me? Dangerous? What kind of limit is 400Hp as that line in an age where manufacturer cars are now producing 1,000+Hp, and the newest V8 Mustang is on the cusp of 500Hp out of the box?

An FR-S to me is plenty fun and it's got very little by today's standards. And man, I would love the MX-5.
I'm not debating about whether or not power matters. I'm questioning someone apparently drawing a line the sand at 400hp as a "beyond fun" car. The majority cars pushing 400Hp+ are all arguably going to be fun.

“if you buy a rubbish car, what you’re saying is, i have no interest in cars. if you have no interest in cars, you have no interest in driving. and if you have no interest in something, it means you’re no good at it, which means you must have your driving license taken away.”

There’s a guy I used to see on my morning commute from the old house that had a mauve (Mitsu calls it raspberry I guess) i-MIEV. He drove it like the only thing he hated more than life was that car.

Work has a car enthusiast mailing list, I swear the most common make is Porsche. They coordinate parking next to each other like some sort of door-ding hating nazi group.
I chose the wrong career path why the fuck are used 981 Caymans so expensive? Yes, last ones with a flat-6, but still.
Every time some guy posts pics of his GT3 I die a little inside.

All you nimrods have sucky non-fun cars.
The REAL true fun car is the RLX with upgraded tires.
We all wasted our monies.

My location's lot is very pedestrian too, but the emailing list has a bunch of software engineers.
There's a developer in my building that drives an LC, and another guy with an M2 but the rest are standard. Those two cars still break my necks.

They just closed the plant, reopened to reproduce the ones lost

”We are sorry to inform you that, due to a fire, a Grimaldi group ship, that was transporting your vehicle, sinked on March 12, 2019. And for that reason, your GT2 RS can not be delivered.
As you may know, Porsche ended the 991 GT2 RS production on February 2019 and under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be possible to give you another car. But, due to the nature of the situation, and considering that you’re a loyal and highly valuable customer for our brand, Porsche has decided to resume the GT2 RS production in Germany, and your vehicle will be produced in April, with delivery scheduled for June.
We recommend that you contact your local Porsche Center for further information.”

Porsche confirmed in a statement to Jalopnik that it had four GT2 RS models and 33 other cars on the boat

We all know that RS was meant for BoostedJack.
Friend told me that Porsche is one of the most (or is the most?) profitable car company. They can afford to do that.

They don't have to reinvent themselves every few years and when they do introduce a new product, it's amazeballs. Remember the Cayenne and Panamera doubters... shiett. Now the Macan.

I love the new Panameras vs the prior one. Way better ass and not so awkward shaped

Just built a Turbo S E-Hybrid (gotta be environmentally conscious) Sport Turismo. It starts at $190k. I added a Golf R in options
