So I finally found some time and got some real Non-RFT summer tires for my car.... In the past 20k miles, i got used to the shitty RFT and settled for it.
Got the Hankook V12, which i used on my s2k, and 335i. The first right turn after the new tires were installed reminded me why i hated the RFT so much. My car feels like the car just went through a 300 lbs diet.
The noise, handling and acceleration are all dramatically improved. Maybe it is in my head, but even the turbo lag is reduced.
Ditch your RFT!
I keep thinking about this...my wife's X3 has 19" RFT...and at the end of a 3 year lease I'm pretty sure Im going to be on the hook to replace them and they aren't cheap. I've often thought about swapping out the tires for less expensive, well performing non-rft....except I have no place to store the stock ones. Which sucks.

3 year lease is too short to be driving on run flat.... It will be the best mod you can do to your car. 100% guaranteed.
As you have noticed, it also make sense financially. Why do you want to pay more for something so shitty?
They won't ding you for replacing the tires with non-RFTs after surrendering the lease? I never even thought about that...

In my case, i was too lazy to change when i could. Like i said, i got used to it and settled until the tires are below 4/32. (BMW's requirement for lease return)
But i really did not feel like paying $1300 for another set of shitty tires that might not even last till my lease return. So i MIGHT have to buy ANOTHER set.
So i went with what i should have done long time ago, summer.... since it is much cheaper i dont mind buying another used set RFT from the forum later for lease return later.
The best move is: Drive the RFT for 5k miles, put the summer tires/AS on, drive for 20-30k miles and put the RFT back on for the remaining months ->Return.

Winter tires are like driving on marshmallows. The upside is that you're less likely to crash into things in the winter if you have them.
I've never had RFT either but I've also never heard anyone say anything good about them ever.
You are correct. There is really nothing good about RFT. Most of the manufactures won't even allow the big tire dealers to fix run flats even if the nail is in the middle of the tread. So you will have to go to some hole in the wall tire shops to get it fixed.
If you don't trust those type of shops, you pretty much have to get a new tire every time you get a nail in your tire.
I sure appreciated those run-flats when I got a flat while in NYC after midnight (last year) and was able to drive back to the place we were staying without having to get out of the car. I found a place that would fix it in the morning, they said it was unfixable so they replaced with a used RFT for cheap, and I was able to drive back to Chicago without trouble.

That one time convenience is enough for the sacrifice on a daily basis? i don't know man...
Basically RFT is the complete opposite of what you would consider a good set of tires.
Whether if you are looking from performance or financial perspective. Other than the up to 50 miles driving range when you get a flat, there is nothing good about it.

So Im slowly replacing my tan interior with black. I ordered a black rear deck lid from eBay so I went ahead and pulled my tan one. After during so, I noticed my tan lid has some wierd blue/green paint on it.
Then I opened my new black one and noticed it has red/yellow paint in the same place hahaha what the hell is this?!?!?
In other news.. I've must have been under a rock.. where did this Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio come from..

I find it funny how CD had issues with their ARGQ.. like it wouldn't effing start, brakes would go in and out..
