Are those the only 2 cars you're considering/have narrowed it down to?

My only complaint about the styling is the damn door handles. They stick out like a sore thumb. If only they made the handles flush like the vette and GT-R.

Well both cars were sold today. So guess it wasn't meant to be. But I'll keep looking. So far it seems the G37 is more of the car I want. I don't need all that performance in the Z & if the ride is harsher & is smaller inside both are not good for my bigger frame. Either car will blow the doors off my modded CLS6 anyway.
The problem I am finding are the lack of manual transmissions where I live. It's not a popular configuration in my area.

There's a section where people can sell their G's. Maybe you will find a good deal in there. My screen name is the same as on here if you need to reach me. Goodluck.

interior wise i think the G37 S is better as for exterior i really like the look of the new 370 plus the wheels that come on it are insane. deep concave stock oem wheels

Looking for something comparable to my CLS6. Has to have a manual. I'd prefer it under $30K. The cheaper the better.
Also would prefer RWD.
It's only me driving it. A few friends with me or my girl. I don't need much space.
I have looked at TL's & again the availability of a stick is limited & the new ones are way too much $ for me.
Also would prefer RWD.

The car is marketed to 35-55 year olds as an entry-level luxury coupe/sedan. Seeing them everywhere means Infiniti is doing something right. I don't see how a car like that can be "played out." Is your TL "played out?" I see dozens of them every day.
Speaking of, you know what's played out? "FTW" followed by half a dozen exclamation points.

you can easily pay $30k OTD for a G37S or 370...my buddy just took delivery of a G37S yesterday. its a great car but i would take the 370 over the G. finding a manual TL is impossible in my area unless you search hard.

So you're telling us it isn't a good idea to buy a car because it's an undeniable sales success?

^ I partially agree with this.
BUT at the same time, I tend to stay away from the cars that are everywhere. There are some cars that are not mass produced and very fun to drive such as GTI, MS3.... I personally like these type of cars because of the rarity of them on the road.

I love my auto sedan
Like I said though, if I was single with no dogs I'd take a 370Z and I can't afford a third car at this stage in life lol.

That's why I didn't get a G37 when I was car shopping.
My budget was $40k, and I ended up with my car.
It certainly doesn't mean that the G37 is a bad car though, it's a good touring car.

its funny when you see some of these people throw around all of these words depicting the "fugly" of the current generation G coupes.
i picked up a 08 G37s 6mt, obsidian black this past march. i get compliments on my car almost everywhere i go. whenever a conversation about my car comes up, one of the first things i will hear is how classy looking of a car it is and how nice the stock exhaust note (before i put tanabe touring medallions on) sounds.
i test drove both of these cars; yeah so the rev matching function is pretty cool. honestly dont see how much of a selling point this could be for anyone. its not like it's a very hard task to blip the throttle on your own to match the engine's rpms.
i have been in slight contact with fuzzy since ive been on this forum, from the days i had my sundance gold 01 CL-S, on to my 08 TL w/nav, and now my G37S. after seeing his cars and hearing about the subtle mods he likes to add on to his car, i think he will be very happy with either car, i personally think the G is the better route. but thats me
good luck fuzzy

My first Avatar....
I agree. I love the look of the G37 Coupe. It is now in the top running for my next car, since the Mustang idea is all but dead.

If i wanted 2 seat "Sports" car, i would take my s2000 over 370z anyday, which i have, Twice! Light weight > all the power in the world if Fun is what you want.
370z is lighter than G37 but that does NOT make it light. it still feels like a pig when you turn!
Now, i had a fully loaded G37S 6mt. it was a great car but it didnt have the WOW factor was my 03 G35 6mt. back in 03, 280hp RWD 6mt with 18" wheels and brembo... shit 330 WHO? G37 is just about the same as everyone else now.

i am 6'1 i fit in just fine.
If Luxury Coupe is what you looking for then go with G37S, 328, 335 or whatevers.
If sports car is what you looking for then there are better options than 370Z imo.
you don't really cross shop G37S and 370Z most of the time.

I would prefer the G37 b/c of the comfort and lux touches.
The Z is comparatively heavy for a 2-seat sports cars, and the Nismo version seems to be the opposite number of the G37-- stripped, harsh and not a commute-worthy vehicle.
FWIW, I didn't like the manual transmission on the 2010 G37 because of the incessant shifter vibration, which might also be an issue in the 370.

They do have that shifter vibration. I actually like it.

If you're looking for a direct replacement for your CL, the G37 is the obvious choice IMO.
What about a Genesis coupe?
