G35 PRICING and INFO for those interested...

Anyone else looking at the G35? I am and here's what I've cooked up so far:

Working off of this price sheet:

G35 Sport Sedan w/leather
(Twilight Blue w/graphite interior)
$28,950

Options:
Sport-Tuned Suspension Package - $425
Premium Package - $2,200
Sunroof - $1,000
Winter Package - Sport - $600
(I want the heated seats and will most likely go aftermmarket for wheels and tires, so the "All Seasons" are of no consequence)
Aero Package (not crazy about the spoiler, but want the side skirts) - $550
Xenon Headlights - $550

OPTIONS TOTAL = $5,325

Destination and Handling - $545

GRAND TOTAL = $34,820

Not too bad. The only thing I'm really concerned about at this point is rumored "Performance Package" that brings it up to 280HP, supposedly tightens the suspension even more, upgrades the brake pads and adds sport seats to the mix. I'd hate miss out on that, but I can't wait till September since my lease is up in April.

Here's a link to ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D WANT TO KNOW. And last, but not least, some numbers I cooked up in the pretty reliable Car Test application based on the production specs.

260HP/260 lb. ft. torque
brake torqued to 2000 rpm
0-60 = 5.9
1320 = 14.6 @ 98.6

With Performance Package (NISMO) coming in Sept. '02 that will raise the HP to 280. I figured in a rise in torque to 270 for shits and giggles.

280HP/270 lb. ft. torque
brake torqued to 2000 rpm
0-60 = 5.7
1320 = 14.3 @ 100.7

Wow! Obviously this is just bullshit benchracing and not proven, but that second set of numbers is in 540i/GS430 territory.

The Z 350 is geting 286 HP so It is the same engine as the G35 it would be able to output the same for sure with minor mods.

It looks the nissan and infiniti has a much much more stronger line-up than Acura

I am pretty sure that Acura is not stupid and they are seeing the danger of losing the edge to the competetion.

TL is redisigned in 04 and CL in 05, throw an couple SUVs MDX and RDX and 2 couple tops secret projects and Acura would be back on the track.

Nissan is doing something agressive here guys.. G35 Sedan and coupe, Z350, Altima 3.5 and Maxima redesined in 04!!!

I hope that Acura will wake up and see what is happening!

The things that tick me off is that the Z350 are getting Brembo kits and Ultra light wheels and 18 Sticky tires stock for less than $35K!!

It looks like a Type-R for me... Where is the TL-R? where is the CL-R? none... hopefully the RDX and its 4WD and 6-Speed SMG will show up in Acura Cars soon!

I would hold out for the Z Turbo that Soopa mentioned in the other thread...335hp , can't see it being any more than $40k- based off the current pricing.
