Yea, both diesel and hybrid would get affected by the gas prices.

It's funny to see this thread after an almost collapse of the big 3. Sure, they took the long, boring view. I don't see them in congress begging for money...

no problem

Hmm, there's no harm in removing the intake resonator, unless you consider more aggressive engine is bad..lol. Removing it doesn't do much in terms of performance either, unless you have an aftermarket air filter, like the K&N one. Even with the intake resonator removed and the k&n filter in place, the engine can draw in air much more freely. You will know what I mean when you get down there and take that thing off lol. It's like a semi-CAI when you have it removed + the k&n filter. Don't expect much, if any power gain though. Also, don't worry about water getting in since it sits very high above the ground.

I like this mod, it's free, the engine can get more air freely, and the noise is more aggressive when you step on it.

My wife came home in a white loaner 09 TL while her 05 was getting serviced and was embarrassed by the new car's looks. The brightwork around the trunk, that grille...she said it reminded her of an overdone Pontiac sedan. Drives well, lots of power, sits a bit low with not the usual Acura sightlines and low cowl...so I was disappointed too. What a shame...this was the Acura I was waiting for, with a 6-speed manual when they come out, but I can't get past the bling...

09 TL drives much better than the 04-08 model does. I just drove a Tech 09 FWD for 1K miles 2 weeks ago during Thanksgiving weekend, it got me 30MPG @ 75-80MPH and was uber comfy. I never buy my car based on its look, but on how it drives and how much it pampers me. In the end you drive IN the car, its whats on the inside that counts.

I do agree Acura in general has no idea where its goin with its design and model line up.

thats beacuse the euro accord is... an accord. it starts off as a very low budget base trim, like the accord i4 lx we get here.. and then you can start optioning it out to maake it equal to the tsx.
