FORGIVE me if I go off subject
But my 98' Accord with 288,500 miles just started having a major vibration & wobble in the front end which starts at about 30 miles per hour & gets worse as speed picks up. I had tires rotated today so that eliminates any tire problems. The ball joints & CV joints have never been replaced, there is no "Clicking" noise when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right. Could this be a broken CV joint? What else could it be? THANKS!

does your steering wheel wobble left and right? does it get worse when you apply the brakes?
same wobble before and after tire rotation?
could be a bad hub/bearing (not sure about the architecture)

Thanks for the replies, Yes it does get worse when I apply the brakes, shakes really bad in front. I guess the entire front end needs to be looked over.

Also, if a front bearing is going, you will hear a sound when you turn the wheel in the direction of the bad one. Kind of a whirring/grinding sound.

did you get the rims balanced? If a weight fell off they will wobble and it will get worse with speed. That's what it sounds like to me.
Vibrations when braking is usually warped rotors but i'd imagine the same would happen when braking with unbalanced tires.

The cheapest thing to do is get the wheels rebalanced. Then replace the front rotors and pads. With the advance auto coupon codes, you can get them for well under $100 for the front.
If that doesn't solve your issue, it could be a bad axle too.
