Ford Sets Record 212.9 1/2 mile

I just saw this so don't know whether this has been addressed before, but pretty amazing, modified Ford GT, 212.9 mph from a standing start 1/2 mile.

Make certain you at least watch the first 2 runs.

^Guess a company could be resposible for wins/records with any automotive sport, but I'd say it's actually the tuner that was responsible for the record.

Hard to detrmine the exact time, but a quick stop watch indicates it's about 15 seconds once the car starts moving.

I know it's apples to oranges, but the Outlaw series, all cars are registered street cars that run over 200 mph in the quarter mile. Once you have up to the 2000 hp range, it's all about weight and gearing.
