But I am curious what I could put down in my current state.
If your car is stock, I'm guessing you'd see mid to high 13s which is right in line with what my car would be stock.

Ah okay that makes a world of difference because I thought stock RTs were about 375-400 at the fly. I'd guess low 13's, high 12's with those numbers and good tires.

stock 6spd is rated 376 at the fly
stock auto is rated at 370

both are rated 410 tq

the reality is the auto is faster in a straight line.

I am still curious about how I'd do...fucking up the launch in front of everyone is where I am nervous.

I fucked up my launch the first 3x Seeing all the people in the stands staring at you and the announcer calling out my car/number made me real nervous! After a few runs, I improved my time by almost .3 seconds.

It's an adrenalin rush!

My opinion - suspension first. More everyday benefits, plus every time you walk to or from the car you get to admire the new look.

Forget about meth if you have E85 available.

i took my car to the track last saturday night and it was very disappointing. i never launch my car so i was having trouble the entire time. plus, for some reason, it was only trapping 125s. definitely not running right. need to get it checked out.

You know your car is fast when you're running 125s and there is a problem with the way it's running.

There was an 08 z06 that wasn't able to break into the 11s while I was at the track, I was a little surprised.

Eh, with the 335, e85 is risky with the hpfp and the lack of fueling at the higher hp levels. People have found that a 50/50 mix is pretty much the max. Unlike the evo people who have fueling alternatives that allow them to use e85.

I'd be tempting fate by using e85 too often, but I gotta admit I've been curious how it would feel.

If you had the fueling capability it would probably feel like +50whp and +80wtq. And it would smell like bourbon.

While my 335 was stock, I feel that after about 40mph that my CL-S was equally as fast from a roll of those speeds till about 100mph.

I loved my CL-S, it was a highway beast.
Hah it IS a beast, I just got it over here in Texas, its my DD now, the 540i is getting sold.

Definitely want to take it to the track just to see what it can do.

So did your brother-in-law take good care of her for you.

Why you selling the 540?

the first time i ran a manual car, i wouldnt take my foot off the clutch after shifts

the tree and lining up no longer bother me, but im not the best launcher.

what bothers me is how every track runs the light tree differently..
either yellow 1,2,3 - green... or all 3 yellows - green

Those are standard. The all yellow and then green is a pro tree. I prefer a pro tree because it really tests reaction time. I have beaten faster cars simply be tree-ing them.

I think the car had more in it, I had it on a conservative tune. I'm hoping to get downpipes and use some race gas and high low to mid 12 before season end, lets hope!

Just wanted to update. Went to the track again on the 29th of October and definitely was much more confident going up to the tree. I lost my slip but I went with updated software and same mods.

Ran a 12.31 at 115mph with a 1.75 60. Also ran two 12.5s that day.

To bad the strip is closed for the winter, I just got my catless downpipes installed! I hate the northeast!.

Couple updates.

These videos were before my dp install and I have a meth kit on order!

Can't wait for the track to open again this April, hoping to see some 11's.

Nice runs man! I've got a 335i also but can't seem to break 12.7 I have to work on my launch and I'm sure I'll be in the lower 12's. Now that I'm FBO and running on non-RFT tires, I should have a much better launch next time I go. Your xi definitely helps get you off the line. I'll update here with my new times as soon as I get a chance to get out to the track again.

What are you talking about xi, im rwd, im just that amazing of a launcher, lol jk jk.

Ya, I'm xi, its nice to be able to just drive to the track with my street tires and have no problems cutting 1.7x, 60s. If you and I raced at the track, I'd have you till a little past the 1/8 and we'd probably have close to the same times but I bet your trap would be about 2-3mph better because of my awd vs your rwd.

Ya, I'm fbo too and can't wait for track time. 11s or bust this year.

Thanks man, I was reading your thread, I hope you do make that trip to the drag strip this year. Last year was my first year and it's definitely a good time, just hope you dont have a lot of old muscle with weak differentials.

First time I went to the track, an engine blew near the 1/4 end and it took about 1.5 hours to clean up. The race immediately after the cleanup an old trans-am blew its differential about 8 feet off the starting line!

EDIT: I also saw you're running Conti DW. I was running the dws all-seasons and decided this winter to get separate winter/summer setups.(Of course it snowed like twice this winter!) I am now in the market for some summers and the DW summers get good reviews but I heard they're very soft. Your 235/40/18 would be my exact size, how do you feel about them overall. Its nice that I hear they have a good balance of comfort, treadwear and decent handling. Not sure if I want to spring for the Mich Supersports or just go with the dw.
Thanks

I've taken my Accord to the track about 3 times so far, only once quarter mile. I had a ton of fun but my daily is getting too old for track use, 124,000 miles and counting! It's hard getting FWD off the line with a MT, must be nice having all 4 tires with grip!

Nice 335 man! A car I would truly love to own.
