Ferrari F430
Arguably the star of the Paris show—at least for production vehicles—the Ferrari F430 made its world debut in front of hundreds of gawking journalists. The innovative F430 features a new 4.3-liter V-8 that pumps out 483 horsepower at a stratospheric 8500 rpm and 343 pound-feet of torque at 5250—88 more horsepower and 68 additional pound-feet than the 3.6-liter engine found in its predecessor, the 360 Modena. Paired with a Formula 1-derived gearbox that Ferrari claims shifts gears in 150 milliseconds, the compact V-8 propels the F430 from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds and to a top speed in excess of 196 mph. The F430 sports two innovations that Ferrari says are directly derived from its F1 cars: An electronic differential (E-Diff) and a steering wheel-mounted switch—better known as "manettino" to Mr. Schumacher and Mr. Barrichello—which enables the driver to adjust the traction and stability-control systems for ultimate control and, no doubt, more fun. Like the 360, the F430 will utilize an aluminum spaceframe and aluminum stampings. And while the F430's styling is reminiscent of the 360's, it does sport numerous changes, most notably a reworked front fascia, Enzo-like taillights, and an enormous rear diffuser. Inside, the F430 incorporates elements from its brethren—notably the 612 Scaglietti—including large circular dash vents and a steering wheel that houses the starter button and a stability-control dial.
Seemingly this is the replacment for the current maranello, looks sharp, has got cues from the enzo. Overall looks sharp,
