Ferrambo Wagon

What the heck is a Ferrambo? This is the dreamt up concoction of Tim Divers of Divers Street Rods and Mike Warn that started a couple of years back as just a joking suggestion, and what turned into a Ridler Award Winning Street Rod that has an unimaginable amount of hours put into the final product.

The Ferrambo is marriage between a 1960 Rambler powered by Ferrari's 3.6 Liter V8 engine that came out of a 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena Donor car. Every detail on this car was completely thought out, everything you see was either machined or handmade, if it wasn't part of the original cars. Here’s a brief look at some of the features.

* Art Morrison & Divers Street Rods Chassis.
* One Off Wheel Hubs to fit Custom Wheels.
* Drop Out Subframe for Service.
* Ferrari Unequal Wishbone front and rear suspension.
* Swan Composite and Brembo Brake Calipers.
* Art Morrison Steering Box.
* One Off Machined 18x8.5 Front and 20x10 Rear Wheels.
* Ferrari's 3.6 Liter V8 Engine (405 hp).
* Ferrari's 6-speed Manual Transmission.
* One-Off Divers Street Rods Exhaust System.
* 1960 Rambler Body.
* PPG Ferrari Rosso Corsa Red.
* Custom Aluminum Hood and Grill.
* Body work by Shawn McNally, Jim Lykken and Russ Divers.
* Painter Shawn McNally and Jim Lykken.
* Customer Divers Street Rods Headlights and LED Tail Lights.
* Saffron Fine Scottish Leather Interior by Scott Divers.
* MoTec Gauges and completely customer Divers Dash Board.
* Speedway Steering Column.

The Ferrambo is a Naked Car. You can see pretty much everything from the outside, the engine is in the rear, it has two seats, the windows automatically tilt open when the vehicle is started, the fuse box, masters cylinder and electronics housed in a custom luggage style trunk and that's about it. It's not about gadgets, airbag suspension, GPS Telemetry or rocket launchers, it's about the essence of what true craftsmanship is.

This vehicle has seen its fare share of amazing praise and downright insulting criticism from all over the web. Google Ferrambo and you'll get thousands of results about people discussing, photographing and following this vehicle from inception to finish. If you don't know what the Ridler Award is, then this vehicle is definitely not for you, if you want one of the most bad ass builder’s biggest project to be in your garage, this is it.
