Favorite Generation USDM Accord?

My favorite Gen US Accords are: 3rd Gen (1986-1989) flip up headlights & first generation where there was an Accord coupe, 4th Gen (1990-1993) classic design, and 6th Gen (1998-2002) the first time when the sedan and coupe had different rearends and both are cool looking. These are my favorites. What's yours?

Well, I used to own a 3rd gen. A 1989 LXi black/tan...till I hit a deer on the highway and rolled it. Walked away without a scratch.

It was a fun sporty liitle car, and I liked the shape...similar to my beloved 3rd gen prelude I bought right after.

For looks the 6th gen was the best, but I picked the 7th gen since it's leaps and bounds better then any previous Accords.

4th gen ... the first Japanese car in our family. I still regret trading that car in for the TL-S to this day. It had 130,000km when I traded it in ... it could have easily gone another 130,000km -- no rust on it (after 10 years) and I live in the Midwest!

In my poll so far, the 6th gen is ahead and the 4th gen is second.

No love for the 1st and 2nd gen Accords?

6th gen. out of all the family sedans, the 6th gen Accord, and the 1991-1994 Camry are the best in my opinion. The interior of the current Accord is very nice though

For obvious reasons, I'm biased in favor of the 6G.

I say 5th, I had a 97 Accord Ex w/ leather and it was the best car I ever owned. It was just so comfortable and smooth.

I like the 7th, after they fixed the rear. I never liked the Boxy Honda's, though the 6G Accord coupe was very nice.

6th, looked the best, and we have one
I would've picked 7th if only it came out looking like the refreshed version.

Voted 6th... meant to vote early 7th gen. Not a big fan of the current refresh of the sedan, but the one right before it was nice.... (2003-2005 sedan). The coupes have all been nice in the 7th gen IMO....

:shakehead Jesal made a funny... there was no 75 accord, but there was a civic...

Honda's before 1974 used aircooled engines (and are my favorite hondas)...

1976 Accord CVCC was probably my 2nd fav after the 6th gen coupes...

Does anyone know why Honda didn't keep using the pop up headlights on any other gen Accords? I thought that Gen 3's frontend was the sportiest of all the Accords.

Definitely the sportiest.. try naming 4 door cars with pop-up lights that arent Accords.. I cant think of any right now.

Oh and the 6th gen had a nice clean exterior.. combine the TSX or 7th gen Accord interior and I'd be quite happy

Wow the 6th gen is still in the lead, which makes me ponder this question:

Were the designers of the 6th gen Accord the same ones that designed the 7th gen?

if we're talking sedan's 5th gen. I like the sharp, clean cut, trimmed look. 6th looks bloated iMO.

Coupes - I have a 5th gen coupe. I love it. 6th gen really differentiated the coupe from sedan, but my vote would go for 7G. With 17" oem rims, 240hp, and coupe exclusive 6sp (until 06 refresh), the 7g coupe is hella tight!

I'm pretty sure it has to do with aerodynamics, which is why virtually every other car that had pop ups did away with them.
