they are all nasty, though the quattroporte is suited more for luxury so it wasnt nearly as fun. obviously skip's formula cars are insane, and you really get to push them to their limits. i have gone the fastest in my s4, around 150 mph.

You're right. And I console myself with that when I get an urge to buy out a C5R on Barrett-Jacson.
Oh right, I don't have the money...

I feel the need...
1996 Ford Mustang Cobra - did 145 mph down I-94 back when I was 21.
A college buddy who's now a great friend was an intern at FoMoCo at the time doing testing, he was required to drive 400 miles/per day. He let me take the wheel for a stretch, could have been fired if we'd been caught but it was worth the thrill.

how does your dad like the Quattroporte
my dad was looking at getting the new XJ8L and I told him to go for the Maserati but I don't think he wants to.
Looks like a sweet car.

hmmm, not sure.
The fastest I've driven was around 125mph in my IROC-Z but the fastest car that I've driven I think is either my TSX or the Porsche 944 that my frined had (not sure which one had the higher top speed). The quickest was probably the Mazda RX-7 turbo.

drove my boss' 911 cab and my friend's m3. damn they're beautiful machines. i've always been a fan of great handling, but these cars also had power. now i need to drive something with +1g or sub 5-sec 0-60.
anyone else driven the drag-strip go-karts? i go to malibu speedzone once in a while, and they're pretty fun (worth one try at least). supposedly, you get to experience 0-60 in under 4 sec.

That's what I liked most about it. It is rare. If I had the money to buy a big sedan I'd go with the Maserati for that reason alone.

My good friend just got a 97' Reynard Indy car. Basically, the whole body is constructed on CF. I would love to drive it, but I know my limitations.
