Was the exhibitor at the Tri-State Auto show at Rockland Community College..

Has anyone ever been to this show?
I thought I would be able to drum up some customers and they paid me $300 so I went on Saterday from 2-8PM. What a waste of time..
I never heard of the auto show and now I know why.. I was horrible.. It was almost as bad as the auto show in Secaucus NJ..
Has anyone ever been to this show?

Never been but I would have to imagine that drumming up business at shows like that is very hard to do.... but hey, at least you got $50/hr to be there!

I know that whenever I go to a car show I have zero interest in being approached by a sales person.... and if I ever am, whoever they represent is the last place I will buy a car from. When I'm ready to buy, I'll go to a dealer, but don't bother me when I'm relaxing with family/friends at a weekend car show.

I do things on my own terms and am turned off when approached by a sales person.

Never been top that one but I have worked the one in Boston for either Porsche or Acura for every year since 2004.

FWIW, I never approach any body at the auto shows with any thing more than, "how you folks doing today?" More often than not they approach me with questions about the cars. I answer them, hand over a business card and ask them to give me a call if they want to get one out on the road.

I can't imagine an Auto Show at a community college is going to be worth anyone's time.

I'm suprised you didn't run into Vince Shlomi getting his ass kicked by a hooker.

I wouldn't want to be approached at all. If I have a question or want to talk about a vehicle... I will approach the rep myself.

It's more about being friendly than anything else.

Yeah it was a almost a complete waste of time.. At least I got paid to do nuttin..
This auto show was worste then the one in the meadowlands convention center.. I did sell one car to a lady I met from the show so was not a total waste of my time..
When I worked for GM we got to go to the NYC auto show a day before it was opened to the public so that was great.. The only people that where there where people from GM and the press and media so I got a chance to get up and personal with all tyhe cars .. even the concept cars so that was awsome.. And there was free food and drinks , I hope Infiniti offers something like this in April..
