Ever got pulled over for tv's ?

So I was out riding last night and seen a cop abruptly jump in my lane and pulled me over.
Ok I was driving with cruise on doing the speed limit ,so what.
The guy comes up to my window like he was pissed saying you can't have tv's in front of the driver.
And he's talking about my roof one.
So I say do you want me to shut it off.
he says gimmie lic/reg. Mind you my whole interiors glowing red and 3 tvs are blazzing.
he's flapping to get a rise out of me.
The wife chimes in and says what about this tv,what about that tv.
The guys getting irritated and its so funny.
I put my licence in his hand, now he says only if the monitors have gps its fine up front.
So I said,O it has everything dvd/nav and the screen in the roof is the "rear view camera"
He looked at me funny turn to walk back to his car(you know) to run info.
He made it half way back to his car turned around and gave me back my license.
And said be sure to have a good night sir..mam.
It was so funny.
I think he knew he was being a pecker head and thought I was probally taping him or something.
still joking with the wife about it today.

you can get a ticket for playing tv/dvd on an in dash screen. For my alpine I had to install a part to bypass the parking brake so i can watch dvd's while driving. If I have it on I just keep an eye out for cops pulling behind me then shut it off or close the screen. Easier to spot at night cause ppl can see it reflect off the glass. Havn't gotten pulled over for it yet in over 6 years but im carefull and dont have lights everywhere.

O a ticket was going threw my mind at first.
I was telling her to shut up in my mind.
As soon as it was over it was funny.
And would've ruined the fun out of the situations if I bicthed her out.
I try to be layed back.

I can honestly say that I have never watched anything on my radio other then the navi.

We have enough distractions while driving, why add another?

Regardless of why you got pulled over, I gotta say it's always a bit lol-ish when cops act like dickheads. I had a spotless driving record up until last year, and the cop that gave me my first speeding ticket said "You seem to have a clean record... but then again I didn't look at it"

I "seem" to have a clean record? but you didn't look at it? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?

Just obvious he was trying to be a hardass when he had nothing on me.... except the speeding, of course. lol.

Ive never been pulled over and in everyone of my cars (besides the new one) ive had a indash and ive had cops behind me, beside me and nothing has happened...Maybe you caused some attention to yourself?

Also its best to not give lip to a cop, be as nice as possible. Your wife should of prob stayed quiet.

In toronto is $500.00 if you get caught using a cell phone, just imagine a DVD player being on.

Probably because you're a douchebag and turn on 5 TV's driving around all the time attracting attention when max you need is 1 in-dash that could perform any function necessary.

It depends on the state, but most of the time if the car was equipped with a mirror from the factory, it must have that mirror in place at all times.

those tvs are overkill imo. you should remove your airbag and get a tv custom built in there too.

just a little distracting... i'm suprised that he didn't want to write you a ticket.
especially given the way your wife was acting
and as far as the other people commenting on how distracting having a tv is, it can be... but with most people it won't be
i had a jvc video deck in my car with tons of music videos, after the first day i got used to it, and only glanced at it at times when it was fine to do so, stuck in traffic etc...
