wtf! I have a right to defend my car as they were slamming it a lot more than I was the CL by any means. I realized I just got dumber replying to your useless threads so I'll just leave it at this.. thank you for complimenting the seats on the TL.. they are very very nice.. "fine leather" yes sir they are. Remeber jealousy will make a fool out of you.. dont' kick yourself or others because you realized something better is out there. Go and give your nissan a hug and say its ok baby.. we have each other.

Well to try and get it back on topic.

Have not driven it yet (don't like to drive cars until i am ready to buy as all it does is make me feel pissed that i can't buy one now).

I am actually a big fan of the outside. I don't know how well it will age (i think the cl is aging very well and while a little conservative i still think it looks very stylish) but for right now i think it looks fantastic. Especially in black and anthracite. \

The inside is a homerun. Looks great and feels very quality. Much more so than the G35. G is not horrible just not as nice as the new TL. G was very comparable to my CL-s inside.

The tl is on my short list of cars to get when i trade in the CL. I would probably get an accord as everyone can admit it is an amazing family sedan but I need to get back into a stick and the Accord just does not have one. Plus the styling, more upscale interior, better warranty, power, etc make it a much nicer car than the accord. Plus you won't see one every other second

I'll admit I haven't really paid any attention to the '04 TL's numbers, but a 14.2, bone stock? I find that hard to believe. I'm assuming that was a 6-speed with one helluva driver.

BTW, I thought the '04 TL was fugly as all get-out when I first saw it. But, it's growing on me. Still don't like the crease in the door, although it helps distinguish it from the TSX, I guess. :o

"Going back to the J32 engine, we also found that it makes the car a stellar performer at the drag strip, even with the hindrance of FWD. We ripped off repeated 14.4 runs in the 97-98 mph range until we finally managed to nail a nearly perfect launch and extract a 14.20 @ 98 mph pass with a 2.16 60 ft. All this in a 3500 lbs car with half a tank of gas, 200+ lbs of driver and camera equipment on factory tires at stock pressures. That's right, we didn't even drop the tire pressure. We performed our dragstrip testing at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, AL."

I don't think anyone is doubting the performance of a MT 04 TL. It’s just the looks, which are open to interpretation by anyone with an opinion.

We'll he's from Boston so what do you expect?

BTW the autos are running no where near as close to that time. In the case of the G Sedan MT/AT they're almost identical in times.

Clownboy, I admitted that I hadn't seen the numbers.

I would prefer a manual, too, but it wasn't available in '01, and I love my CL-S, so I'm not lookin' to get rid of it. I've run plenty of 14.4s in my auto, and I even ripped a 14.2 last fall. What the f*ck does that prove, though?

Seriously...did you not notice that I mentioned it must have been a 6-speed with a very good driver?

I would think 14.8-15

the auto was never and will ever be an option, plus 4-piston brembos and helical LSD are stock on the 6spd.

No, what I notice are those are AXIS rims which go on big body cars. It also offers a decent priced rim with a lip. Since you don't have a drop, those rims look forced on the car, like you bought the from a friend with the wrong offset. And it looks fucking ridiculous with 2 inch lips on a FWD car.

Next time do your research before u slap some shit on your ride.

And if I recall, there was a thread here this very week of a TL with some Volks, looked damn good compared to that crap. ANd the CL guys were loving it.

So get off your whack ass high horse and slap some stickers on your car.
