Drove a G35 Coupe today

Well, basically I wouldn't buy one, not for the $36k price this car was, had the premium pack (sunroof, stereo, etc) and navi. Car is way too small for my taste, esp comparing to my Legend Coupe. Makes the CLS a better choice for me for a new car.
THe G35 just isn't my kind of car, styling looks too much like a Cougar in the back, too small, too expensive. Drove alright, was more firm than I'm used to and seemed twitchy and I felt cramped inside. I'm used to a more refined power feel and ride. Guess I'm too old for this car.
I need more lux and amenities. A rod to hold up the hood, tiny shallow trunk, radio sounded mediocre, had a small car feel all around. This was the auto, I'm sure the 6 speed drives better. I'm sure some will love it, but I miss that familiar Honda feel.
It seemed what an Eclipse or an RSX might be like I guess.

I went to the dealer yesterday to get a close up look. I think the exterior of the car is just beautiful...esp w/ the 18's. As many have stated on the board about the sedan, the interior needs alot more work. The plastic feels like plastic. I didn't drive it but I'm sure I'd be inclined to like the stiffer ride. My CL is staying in it's parking spot for some time to come. I need a better reason than ext styling and a few HP to make me take a monetary loss on my CL. Besides, I think Infiniti is going to sell a ton of these and I like the fact that nobody likes my CL...except you guys, of course.

i saw my first one on the road today, from what i could tell this guy lowballed on it. 17's no brembos and most likely auto. that car is a really really great looking car, but my one gripe about the exterior is the bulbous rear bumper, its just freakin HUGE. but otherwise it looks like an amazing car, just lacks the "bang for the buck" factor that our faithful CLs and CLSs have.

So for my dad, who's been a GM buyer pretty much his whole life, it would be a step up, yes?

He's looking at the G35 Coupe and the Audi A6 (not a loaded one, just a base one). I'm trying to convince him to get the G35 over the A6. More performance and in the long run better reliability/cheaper to maintain.

Coming from GM cars, either is a step up. He likes my car a lot, but I don't think he'd buy one. For some weird reason they want 4 doors even though it's just mom and dad who would ever use the car really. I know that if he looks at the G35 it will be the Coupe. I at least convinced him of that.

Dunno what other cars of decent size/performance/styling are around $30k though, besides the G35 and the base A6 non-Quattro.

Oh and I saw a black 350Z the other day in a parking lot. Pretty sexy, if plain.

Well...my good friends dad got his on Thursday night. It was the first one in Miami. This thing is amazing. The looks are sweeet and just overall looks pimp. The tail lights are pretty cool with the LEDs. It got my thumbs up.
