Do ladies like sports cars too?
This weekend I saw all of these ladies, various ages driving no not suvs or minivans, but sports cars! It's cool, but normally I wouldn't see women driving these cars:
lady driving a yellow 350z special 35th anniv edition
lady driving a red Honda S2000
lady driving a black current gen M3
lady driving a white G35 coupe
lady driving a Mazda Rx-8
lady driving a Bentley
Too bad all were older ladies or moms

I wouldn't include the 350Z and RX-8 in the "prestigious badge" category, and I wouldn't put either in the "cute" looks category either-- "unique," but not "cute" (and I considered the RX-8 before getting the TL).

A lot of women like sports/performance cars. Nothing sexier. And I think many of these cars driven by women were actually purchased by them as well. I've known many women who were educated and opinionated car enthusiasts that could drive a car as well as anyone. The woman I'm currently seeing drives an '06 Mustang GT convertible which she enjoys very much. And yes, it's a manual. I'm sure some stereotypes of BOTH men and women drivers are deserved, but gender certainly doesn't always define one's choice or knowledge of automobiles.

GOLD DIGGERS!!!!!!! I agree with the comment above though regarding if they are driving a MT, they probably do enjoy cars. Most however, do go for the "cute and color" appeal. Very similar to diamonds.....

but I have to admit too... one of my client's fiance went out of her way... long before the Corvette C6 came out and ordered a red MT, and was one of the first to have it... I thought that was pretty impressive... especially for a little Asian lady... (she's older)

TL no more!
One of my girl friends absolutely love the GT3 RS. A group of peeps and I went to the Porsche dealership and they showed us the RS still wrapped up. That thing is so sweet!!

I see women down here all the time driving new Vettes, RX-8s 350zs , all kinds of sports cars really, but mainly those. A decent amount of them are manual too.

maybe I'm an exception...don't like "cute" cars... My father had several Corvettes (1976 and 1996) and I hope to someday have a car like an NSX... I've learned MT so that I can drive my dream car someday....
I enjoy watching Top Gear for the supercar drives (Jeremy and the Carrera GT and Captain Slow and the Veyron pop into mind) and someday hope to get to the ///M driving school to practice driving sideways properly....that or the O'Neil School just north of me!
...looking forward to seeing the new GT-R too!

My mom is a huge car nut. She never keeps one for more than 6 months though.
List of cars she has been through in recent years:
Porsche 911
Corvette Z06
BMW M3
MERCEDES CLK 430
AUSTIN MINI COOPER (right hand drive)
'70 Chevelle SS
She recenly quit her job at a car dealership to work full time fixing up old cars and selling them.
She does body panel repairs and is learning to paint also.
Needless to say she is one cool mom

the towing race was hilarious though!!

My mom used to take my dad's 68 Camaro out and race when she was preggo with me. Maybe that's why I ended up so into cars.
My wife is a car nut. She is actually a licensed Auto Dealer and ramping up to a GM position. When we started dating, she bought the 1st RSX-S 6sp that hit the lot. She can get through the gears faster than most men I know.
Another good "women in fast cars story": I was on a 3 lane 55mph road and cought a red light changing to green on the roll, so I flew through at about 50 while an S65 AMG was stopped on my left. I cought the next light and it pulled up next to me. 40-something hot mom driving...hubby in the passenger seat, and 2 boys in the back...12-15 maybe. The guy rolls his window down and asks me if I want to go on the light or from a roll. I look over at the V12 on the side and I laugh and say, "I know where I stand against that V12." He chuckles and says, "C'mon...that's a pretty nice car. I wouldn't be embarrassed to have one of those in the driveway." So I smile....the cross traffic gets the yellow...I power-brake it and launch it on green. She gives me a good 2-3 cars before I hear tires squealing. At WOT topping 2nd at about 60, she blows by me like I was parked. They wave bye-bye. I think she liked her 604hp family sedan.
