I know two guys with Mazda 6s. One of my friends has an 04 V6, 5-speed manual for about 2-3 years. Its his daily and he loves the car, and it hasn't given him any problems. He isn't much of a car guy though to be honest, but at one point or another I did consider a Mazda 6 myself... honestly I like the previous gen because its much smaller than the new one.
The other guy has a Mazdaspeed 6 and he loves it. This guy IS a car guy, a Mazda guy at that, and the car is his baby. He's bordering on OCD, he'll drive it mostly on weekends and wash it 1-2 times a week! No problems there either.
Congrats and enjoy!

A good buddy or mine has an '03 Mazda 6. Great little car, I like it a lot. Not as luxurious as say an Accord but it's sporty enough and has never given him any major problems. Good luck with the new car.

I have owned 2 Mazda 6's. We had a 2005 with a standard trans and a 2.3 liter 4 banger. TROUBLE FREE until the day we traded it in on my wifes 2008.5 Mazda 3 Hatch.
The other one is my 2006 Mazdaspeed 6...another trouble free car except for the clutch TSB which netted me a brand new clutch and flywheel at 20k miles for free.
OP, thats a great deal and you will love the car...enjoy!
Also, I mod at a 6 forum...look me up!

Yet another CHILD that just cant deal with the fact that someone doesn't agree with them .
How the fuck am i supposed to link past experience, if you want proof just look that shit up there are threads galor.
"Well, as i previously posted, i had a Mazda 6 with a tap in the engine, no one wanted to dig into it and pinpoint the problem. the only solution i got was a new engine costing 7000, the car is only worth about 7000 and i still owed 8000 on it. anyway, i poured some 'motor honey' in the engine and over the next few days the knock wasnt as loud and didnt start until about 3500-4000 RPMs, as opposed to it being 2500 before the additive. I quieted it enough to trade it in, they gave me 7000 for it!! i recommend the motor honey for all your engine tapping needs. it looks just like honey and you add it with about 3 quarts of oil. its not a permanent soultion, but it worked long enough for me to get rid of the car for a good deal. im driveing a honda now! "

Doesnt make you smart either.
Cars are machines, and machines are imperfect. All car makers have cars that get sold that potentially have issues even the most solid of makers such as lexus.
It doesnt mean the car is unreliable or a pos. It means some dude had bad luck with an isolated incidence. I can point out a bunch of similar threads on this forum.
And yes, killer is a giant child with no experience, he just owns one, and owned a 2nd one prior to that, and still has another mazda to boot. No, no experience there.
You...you have threads on the internet, where people love to bitch and make mountains out of a molehills. Yet you try and talk of experience.
Do you care to continue?

I've seen several of your posts before...not just in this thread but in other threads as well. Regardless of your stance on a particular topic, the evidence suggests you're just as incapable of carrying on a civil conversation yourself.
You can debate without argument, without confrontation, without calling others childish names, but you choose not to - which is fine, but realize you are the proverbial pot calling the kettle black.
Stating your case without resorting to the type of low-brow responses you have chosen would not have fed those trolls. However, you know where you are and you knew the type of reaction you were going to receive...you've been around long enough to know that. You enjoy the roll of antagonist...

b) who is the troll?
Youve been around long enough to know killer and I are dicks, but far from trolls.

b) I wasn't calling you a troll personally, just using his terminology.
...and yes, I've been around more than a bit and am well aware of the demeanor of both you and Killer.
You may be a Pathfinder fanboi, and Killer a Mazda fanboi respectively, but you're no trolls.

Thanks; I've never really liked them either but after weighing the price discount and the actual rare find of a 6 with these options/condition/18 months of warranty, it came out to be the most feasible option. I am actually enjoying driving it quite a bit. can't wait to get new tires.

my boi had a 6. it was a nice ride. never gave him any issues for the few years he had it.
Also know a Mazda shop, and they are big fans of the 6.
so you blew a motor, i've blown 2 honda motors in the last 4 years. reliable FTW.
Acura's suck, my CL developed a loud knock at 80k. had to replace the fucking motor.
edit: oh and 7k for a motor job, you were being taken for a ride. they could have gotten it done for 2.5k tops.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I finalized my loan today and the car is now mine. I spend all day washing/waxing/polishing/shampooing, etc the car. IT is currently at the shop getting tinted . I snapped a few pics before it got dark, wanted to share.
